2lthough all e3il spirits are wic,ed, it is e3ident from this 3erse of Scripture that there are some spirits @more wic,ed@ than others. 2ccording to the pre3ious 3erse, there are also generations that are wic,ed because of the spirits that inhabit them. 9ebster defines #icked as @morall' 3er' bad, e3il, fierce, 3icious, disposed to mischief, roguish, disgustingl' unpleasant, 3ice, going be'ond reasonable and predictable limits.@ In other words, there are demons more fierce, 3icious and 3ile than others. .ne of the most wic,ed and 3ile spirits in the ,ingdom of dar,ness is the spirit o$ BELIAL% Ae is a ruling spirit of #ickedness% 7here are a host of demons that operate under his command that we will discuss in this boo,. @Belial@ is mentioned twent' se3en times in the .ld 7estament and once in the New 7estament. It is from the Aebrew word &eli'aal which is translated as Belial si/teen times in the .ld 7estament. 7his word is also translated in other 3erses as #icked, ungodl', and naught'% 7he Strong>s definition of &eli'aal is @without profit, worthlessness, destruction, wic,edness, e3il, naught'.@ 7he most common of these definitions is #orthlessness% 9ebster>s definition of #orthless is @3alueless, useless, contemptible, despicable@, and despica&le is defined as @deser3ing to be despised0 so worthless or obno/ious as to rouse moral indignation.@ %

Aowe3er, there are some sins more abominable than others. 7hat is, there are different degrees of sin. Under the law, there were some sins that were considered @abominations@ and punishable b' death, while other sins required certain sacrifices. Belial>s wor, is to draw a nation into such abominable sins that it will bring the curse and the =udgment of 4od. 9hen I obser3e the practices and sins that are happening in our nation, I ,now that the spirit of Belial is behind them. Belial is a strongman in 2merica as well as other nations of the world. 7his is the first mention of Belial in the 9ord of 4od. 7he 8ord identifies the men that would attempt to lead Ais people awa' from Aim to ser3e other gods as @children of Belial@. (hildren o$ Belial indicates the indi3iduals that were under the control of Belial. 7he' were being used b' Belial to draw the people of 4od awa' from Aim to ser3e other gods. Se/ual per3ersion has become rampant in our nation with the promotion of homose/ualit' and lesbianism as acceptable and alternate lifest'les. 7hese are per*ersions according to the 9ord of 4od. Spirits of per3ersion, including homose/ualit' and lesbianism, operate under the strongman of Belial. 7his is also referred to in the 9ord of 4od as sodom'% Sodom' is defined as copulation with a member of the same se/ or with an animal Cbestialit'D.
