Taking the stance of postmodern objectivism, Classic Marketing Conjecture was written as a scientific breakdown of the often seemingly

happenstance process that is Marketing. It begins by asking us for the answer to a very simple question; what is marketing? Next, it delves into the primary value, fundamental systems, and classic aspects of the philosophy of Marketing. Not to be thought of as a work without reason; a whole chapter has been dedicated to the application of Ethical Marketing including fair trade, green-washing, and consumer welfare. With the understanding that Marketing is too important to be left to the marketing department, the subsequent chapters cover seven basic principles that culminate with the sad Truth about Marketing. Leaving nothing to spare we then dive head first into the different Branches of Marketing including Direct marketing, Multi-level marketing, Services marketing, and Sponsorship; The latter helping to portray sub-disciplines and components including paradigms, customer experience, strategies, growth, and warfare. Our next juncture iterates the social aspects of political and ethical marketing, the difference between the two, and why understanding the difference is such an important part and parcel to realizing the current state of affairs of the world from a geopolitical standpoint. Upon this realization we are finally able and well led to contemplate the most beautiful aspect of Marketing: It's all in the eye of the beholder. In the final chapter, Classic Marketing Conjecture uses reference and provides sources to 72 different definitions of the word "Marketing". This allows us to contrast and compare the differences in shade of the attributes of Marketing, answers our simple question posed from the first chapter, and hopefully brings us to a full understanding of the Meaning of Marketing.
