Photovoltaic power supply of
- power plants of remote villages, huts in the mountains.
- signal installations of the air-, sea-, road- and railway transport
- radio relay stations of telecommunication services, cellular phone stations
Hybrid power supply (photovoltaic, wind generator and Diesel engine): In these cases the battery serves to buffer load peaks, to smooth the current
and to reduce the operation time of Diesel engines at low power demand.

5. Operation
At lower voltages as U80% the battery has to be disconnected to avoid a damage of the battery.
The charging current may vary from 5 x I10 to 0,01 x I10. The charging voltage has to be restricted to 2,30V to 2,40V.
At daily discharge below 0,2 C100

2,30V - 2,35V

At daily discharge above 0,2 C100 up to 0,3 C100

2,35V - 2,40V

At higher daily discharges a not acceptable electrolyte stratification occurs, if not regularly gassing charging is applied or BAE OPzS EU - cells (with
electrolyte agitation) are used.
