SET-TOP MINIMUM COSMETIC REPAIR STANDARD

Due to safety reasons, all repairs performed regardless of warranty status receive the following minimum cosmetic standard. Note: Charges may apply for units covered under warranty. General: Inspect the unit to ensure there are no loose/missing screws, lock nuts, parts and modules. Should a chassis mount thread be stripped, the chassis will be replaced. No unit will ship having missing or loose screws or fasteners. No unit should be returned to the customer that: a) Has more than one scratch of longer than 0.50 inch (1.27 cm) on the top cover, or b) Has more than one scratch of longer than 0.25 inch (0.65 cm) on the front panel, or c) Has more than one scratch of longer than 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) on the side panel that can be seen at a distance of 3 ft (1 meter) and the depth cannot be felt at finger touch. Cracked/broken cover, front panel or lens will be replaced. All covers, front panels and lenses will be cleaned with a suitable cleaner before being returned to the customer. All cover screws should be fitted taking care not to over torque the screws stripping the thread in the chassis. Chassis The chassis will be replaced if it is bent, or damaged provided there is no physical damage to the printed circuit boards or the unit is not categorized as being Beyond Economic Repair/Uneconomical to Repair (BER/UTR). Ensure the Set-Top feet are fitted and the set-top does not rock when laid on a flat surface.

Labels & Barcodes: All labels and barcodes must be properly adhered, clearly readable, can be scanned without error, and match the Set-Top Serial Number, MAC Address(es) and Model Number. Labels should not have any handwriting or readable markings. Power Cords: (if applicable) No damage to prongs. No cuts or punctures to wires. Minor indentation to wires is allowable as long as insulation is not penetrated. AC cord should be wrapped tightly and held together securely. (if applicable) No damage to pins or sockets. All push buttons must be properly seated, operate smoothly and initiate their appropriate function.

Front Panel Display: All LED segments should have consistent brightness and be clearly visible at a normal viewing distance. All front panel lenses are to be of consistent color and clarity allowing for clear viewing at normal distance. AC Inlet: DC Inlet: (if applicable) No chips, cracks or burn marks allowed. Connectors:

All rear panel connectors (RF, Video, Ethernet, USB, Audio Optical, SCART, HDMI etc.) should not be damaged, corroded or burned. The lock nut on the Cable In connector, if applicable, should be secure. (if applicable) Remote control should not be damaged, have cracked covers or worn key pads. All keys/buttons should be readable and properly seated, operate smoothly and initiate their appropriate function. New batteries will be included, separately packed. (if applicable) Unless the documentation is in the original packaging and in its original condition, it should be replaced with new documentation. The Set-Top should be placed in a clear anti-static bag and packed in a new Set-Top carton as specified in the products bill of material in Agile (a.k.a STARS. The carton must be labeled as specified in Agile (a.k.a STARS)
