SR. NO.133 (CASE NO. 05-EX/2008) RECRUITMENT TO 135 POSTS INCLUDING 5 POSTS
RESERVED FOR DISABLED PERSONS TEMPORARY LIKELY TO BE MADE PERMANENT POSTS
OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEYS (BS-17) IN THE LAW, PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS &
HUMAN RIGHTS DEPARTMENT.

QUALIFICATIONS:- B.A, LL.B.

EXPERIENCE: Four Years practice as an Advocate

NOTE: (i) To support the claim of experience, the candidate should submit his/her valid registration certificate from
the Punjab Bar Council showing the date of enrolment and also a certificate of four years practice as an Advocate
from the President District Bar Association duly countersigned by the District and Sessions Judge concerned with
office stamp (in original).
(ii) One paper written test of Criminal Law/Civil Law of three hours duration will be held for short listing of the
candidates

The Qanoon-e-Shahadat The Pakistan Penal Code
The Civil Procedure Code The Qanoon-e-Shahadat
The Limitation Act The Criminal Procedure Code
NOTE: Neither Bare Acts will be provided by the Commission nor candidates are allowed to bring their own Bare
Acts for consultation in the Examination Hall.

PAY: BS-17

SPECIAL PAY : RS. 5000 (Non Practicing Allowance)

AGE: 25 TO 32 Years on 13-10-2008.

PLACE OF POSTING: Any where in the Punjab

ELIGIBILITY FOR CIVIL SERVANTS:


Only those Civil Servants are eligible to apply for the posts of Assistant District Attorney (BS-17) who are within the
age limit of 25 to 32 years and possess the requisite qualifications and experience as per services/ recruitment rules
of the said posts.

ELIGIBILITY: Both Male & Female candidates domiciled in any District of the Province of the Punjab.
DISABLED QUOTA: 5 POSTS (2% Quota)
ZONAL ALLOCATION: On all Punjab basis.
A candidate must obtain 33% marks to qualify the written paper and 50% marks in the interview to be finally
declared successful. Date time and place of the written test will be intimated separately to each candidate through
admission letter.

SR. NO. 134. (CASE NO. 6-EX/2008) RECRUITMENT TO 54 POSTS INCLUDING 1 POST
RESERVED FOR DISABLED PERSON TEMPORARY BUT LIKELY TO BE MADE PERMANENT
POSTS OF DEPUTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY (BS-18) ON ALL PUNJAB BASIS IN THE PUNJAB LAW,
PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS & HUMAN RIGHTS DEPARTMENT.

QUALIFICATIONS:- B.A, LL.B.

EXPERIENCE: Five Years practice as an Advocate


NOTE: To support the claim of experience, the candidate should submit his/her valid registration certificate from the
Punjab Bar Council showing the date of enrolment and also a certificate of five years practice as an Advocate from
the President District Bar Association duly countersigned by the District and Sessions Judge concerned with office
stamp (in original).

PAY: BS-18

SPECIAL PAY : RS. 7500 (Non Practicing Allowance)

AGE: 27 TO 35 Years on 13-10-2008.

PLACE OF POSTING: Any where in the Punjab

ELIGIBILITY FOR CIVIL SERVANTS:


Only those Civil Servants are eligible to apply for the posts of Deputy District Attorney (BS-18) who are within the age
limit of 27 to 35 years and possess the requisite qualifications and experience as per services/ recruitment rules of
the said posts.
ELIGIBILITY: Both Male & Female candidates domiciled in any District of the Province of the Punjab.
SYLLABUS: The candidates will be given written examination consisting of following subjects and syllabus:

THE PAPERS ON ENGLISH, URDU & ISLAMIC STUDIES/PAKISTAN STUDIES/GENERAL
KNOWLEDGE WILL BE OF GRADUATE LEVEL. THE FOUR PAPERS RELATING TO LAW WILL BE OF LLB.
LEVEL. THE SYLLABUS IS AS FOLLOWS:

ENGLISH: This paper is intended to test the ability of the candidates in functional English comprising precis
writing, translation from Urdu into English, composition, usage of idioms and an essay on one of the several specified
topics.

URDU: This paper will test the ability of the candidates to translate an English passage into Urdu, usage of
legal terms in Urdu, composition, précis writing, use of idioms and an essay on one of the several specified topics.

ISLAMIC STUDIES, PAKISTAN STUDIES & GENERAL KNOWLEDGE:

This will be MCQ type paper on Pakistan Studies, basic principles of Islam, fundamental beliefs and
practices, everyday science, current world affairs and also broad facts of historical, political, geographical and
economic significance.

CRIMINAL LAW –II:

1. Offences against Property (Enforcement of Hadood) Ordinance of 1979.


2. Offences against Zina (Enforcement of Hadood) Ordinance of 1979.
3. Control of Narcotics Substances Act, 1979.
4. Prohibition (Enforcement of Had) Order, 1979.
5. Juvenile Justice System Ordinance, 2000.
6. Police Rules relating to Investigation & Court Matters.

 A candidate must obtain 33% marks in each of the written papers 50% marks in the aggregate. (0.5o or
more marks will be rounded off). Thereafter, qualifying candidates must also secure 50% marks in the
viva voce including psychological test to be finally declared successful.

 Negative marking will be applicable and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the MCQ
type papers (combination of Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies & General Knowledge).

 The date sheet and place of the examination will be intimated separately to each candidate through
admission letter and press.

1. FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION FORMS:

a) All Educational Certificates such as Matric / Inter / B.A. / LL.B.
b) Valid Certificate of Domicile of the candidate in any district of the Punjab Province issued by District
Magistrate/District Coordination Officer and copies of National Identity Cards (Computerized and Old
N.I.C.).
c) One latest Passport size photograph ( Both Male and Female candidates ) attested by at least a Govt.
Officer of BS-16 or above who should give his/her full name and designation and affix his / her rubber
stamp and signatures, one with cross signatures of the candidate to be pasted on the application at the
proper place.
d) Experience Certificate on the prescribed form PPSC-4 attached with the application form, must obtain from
the President District Bar Association duly countersigned and affixing rubber stamp of the District and
Sessions Judge concerned (in original).

2. Incomplete, wrongly filled in and unsigned applications will be rejected summarily.


3. Candidates must submit their applications complete in all respect duly supported with the required attested
copies of the certificates
4. All qualifications and conditions of eligibility must have been completed on or before the closing date of
submission of applications.
5. Attested photocopies of all the relevant documents must be attached with the application form. However, the
original certificates will be produced by the candidates at the time of Psychological test and Viva Voce.
6. Candidates must carefully read and follow “Instructions to Candidates” attached with the application form for
filling the application. However, candidates must complete all the requirements mentioned in this
advertisement even though these may not be mentioned in the application forms.
7. Fax applications from in-country candidates, will not be accepted.
8. Down loaded application forms from our website (www.ppsc.gop.pk) will also be acceptable.
9. Note: In case of change/deletion/addition in any column of the prescribed application form, the candidates
would be liable to the rejection of his candidature.
