Imam Gazali:
- Describes different stages of the heart
- Sign of Tasawfuf is the most important. Imam Gazali found this out at the last stage of his
life
- Mentions the Etiquette with Allah.

If we look at the matters of the angels and the unseen. Entering of the hellfire and paradise,
based on the actions, fulfilment of obligatory work. Intellectual is unable to grasp this, while
the inner eye will see. It is not the eye that becomes blind it is the heart. ( Øyet kan see
illusjoner være blendet, hvor man tror at man ser noe, visse farger eller annnet men det kan
være noe helt annet som er realiteten.) The vision of the heart, the inner eye, seldom makes
mistake as it sees with the light of Allah. Light of heart it attain through adherence of prophet
M (Saw). This is dependent on also the ekhlaq of the human being, and through the character
of the person. May not be attained by fasting or praying if the actions are not in accordance
with Sunnah and Allahs commands. The fasting may only give hunger and prayer tiredness, if
the actions are not good/ bad character.

Imam Gazali lived 55 years of righteousness.

Imam Gazali focused on prayer and fasting at the end of his life. At the end of his life he
made wudu, prayed to rakah, and recited the Ayaat " Allah may I come quickly to u."

The book Bidayatul of Hadaya. Wrote at the end of his life, the last 10 years. Asked Allah to
inspire him that all of the Ummah would benefit from it. many Ulema ask for Allahs help to
inspire him with prayer. Some phrases will come back to u when u need it, it is one of the
blessings of the book.

The CREED?? of man

Chapter 2 section 2. Sins of the heart, s 65:

The heart is not about the flash. Msaw says that the heart of the believer is width. The heart of
the believer is white, while non believer the heart is black. The attributes in a believer is good.
But attributes as anger, in a believer heart be used in a positive way, where u become angry
not for your self but for Allah.

Shayukh mentiones that the treatment of the heart is long. But the treatment can be taken and
the heart be improved.

Hadith: A man came to M(Saw) and said tell me a quick treatment of the heart. M (saw) say
recite surah of the quran 3 times in the morning and in the evening. Suratul Qadr, Suratul
Falaq.
Warns us from 3 eveil qualities. Is mother desies in the time
1) Envey ( Hasad)
2) ostentation, dvs showing off Riya
3) Self glorification
