by presentati ons. i Pads are used mai nl y for readi ng the stori es/pl ay/anal yses that we are doi ng or
for googl i ng pi ctures to hel p us wi th the acti vi ti es i n cl ass. n math the i Pad i s mai nl y used to
access the soft copy of the textbook. We use i Pads i n bi ol ogy to fi nd answers to qui ck questi ons,
research curtai ns topi cs, fi nd di agrams, etc.. i Pads are used extensi vel y i n chemi stry (possi bl y more
than any other cl ass). Physi cs cl asses are usual l y noted by i Pads bei ng kept away under the
teacher's i nstructi on. i Pads are onl y used for worksheets and tests whi ch are recei ved vi a Edmodo,
and must be sol ved on paper. We use i Pads i n gl obal perspecti ves for creati ng shared Googl e
documents, researchi ng, creati ng presentati ons, etc. i Pads are barel y ever used i n Hi ndi except for
when we need to read somethi ng off of a websi te once i n a whi l e. We use i Pads i n drama to record
our performances, do qui zl et exerci ses, fi l l out refl ecti on forms or take refl ecti on vi deos.

13 The i pad i s useful as a reasearch tool as i t connects to the school wi fi , and i t's fantasti c to store
el ectroni c textbooks (or novel s when i t comes to Engl i sh cl ass) However, i t i s so much easi er to type
documents and make presentati ons on a l aptop, wi th a proper, ful l -si zed keyboard. When i n some
cl asses we are forbi dden to use l aptops to type up our notes, as CS i s an 'pad school ', i t i s
extremel y frustrati ng as thi s makes our work take l onger to compl ete, i sn't as effecti ve and usi ng
software that i s not as compl ex nor fami l l i ar as that of our personal l aptop. wi sh, at l east for the B
students, that we woul d be permi tted to choose whi ch el ectroni c tool woul d be the most hel pful i n
furtheri ng our studi es, and be treated wi th enough respect to be al l owed to make that choi ce for
oursel ves. f usi ng an i pad i nhi bi ts our l earni ng experi ence, i t seems a rather counter-producti ve
pol l i cy.

thi ng that we acti vel y use the i Pad/MacBooks for are textbook use. The apps are frustrati ng and not
hel pful to use such as Comi c Li fe or Doceri or other apps of the sort.

them to speak l i nes duri ng the Tempest pl ay we were doi ng. t was not great because of the i Pad
i tsel f, but the enti re experi ence woul d have been i ncompl ete wi thout i t.

11 The i dea of usi ng i Pads i s great i n my opi ni on. They are handy devi ces. However, there are
probl ems whi ch are faced too. One cannot keep more than one tab open on the screen
si mul taneousl y, whi ch makes doi ng certai n tasks very di ffi cul t. The apps whi ch we are supposed to
use i nstead of MS Word and PowerPoi nt, Pages and Keynote, take terri bl y l ong to l oad on i Pads
and shi fti ng to another tab then retuni ng to them woul d mean a whol e ten seconds of wai ti ng
before resumi ng to work. al so bel i eve that that ai m of usi ng i Pads as a tool to enhance educati on
i s not parti cul arl y effecti ve as of today. There i s so much more that can be done, much more
effi ci entl y wi th l aptops. al so thi nk that many students mi suse thei r i Pads for pl ayi ng games,
messagi ng thei r counterparts, watchi ng vi deos, etc. i n cl ass, whi ch defeats the purpose of havi ng
i Pads and di stracts students from the di scussi on i n cl ass. To summari se, thi nk the use of i Pads
over l aptops i s somethi ng that can be thought about and stronger rul es and restri cti ons need to be

19 For one, our bandwi dth at thi s school i s not fast enough to handl e thi s many i Pads/MacBooks and
whenever we try to take our qui zzes on Edmodo, they del ete hal f of our answers or i f there i s a
mi ssi ng l etter or capi tal , we get the answers wrong. Al so the ti me gauge for assi gnments i s off. To
be honest, the most exci ti ng thi ng i s usi ng textbooks whi ch i sn't exci ti ng. t's useful though.

34 t's a useful devi ce but honestl y don't thi nk i t's for school . have used technol ogy i n school before
and have seen i t used a better way where the teachers and the students l earn technol ogy
i ndependentl y, thi s was the best way to l earn because i t made each of our devi ces more useful to
us rather than everyone tryi ng to do the same thi ng. Havi ng the i Pad i n a school i s great as l ong as
everyone i nvol ved knows how to use i t and what to use i t for. get that the school does not want to
i nvol ve too much pen and paper but usi ng the i Pad can be frustrati ng too. You cannot upl oad
thi ngs wi thout havi ng to check the format and someti mes the format can't even be converted. Al so,
i t's l i ke we j ust bought the i Pad j ust to but more apps. f the school wants to i ntegrate technol ogy
why not j ust buy l aptops? They are more l ong l asti ng, more fl exi bl e i n so many ways, and on the
l ong term more affordabl e si nce i t's al ready equi pped wi th everythi ng we need and does not need
addi ti onal apps. Affordabi l i ty can be a probl em i f the school was buyi ng the chi l dren l aptops but
even i f the chi l dren were gi ven an opti on to get thei r own and bri ng i t to school , i t woul d make
thi ngs a whi l e l ot easi er. However, the i Pad has made i t easi er to wri te thi ngs and we get to use
more technol ogy than before whi ch devel ops our creati vi ty whi ch thi nk i s somethi ng essenti al .

i Pas i s useful and can get the PDF and the other worksheets easi l y so i t saves ti me too and don't
have to pri nt out them al so that save the papers whi ch i s real l y good for envi ronment. But usual l y
use i Pad i n chatti ng and see the facebook or twi tter. For that, the study ti me reduces and do not
