Related Information:
There is the possibility of an overlap between the old and new systems. Students who started under the old system have the option to switch to the new system at any point in their studies. Students who have completed a 90 ECTS credit Masters degree may be required, by the academic department, to complete extra course work as part of the McGill PhD. Students who have completed a 60 ECTS credit Masters Degree will normally be considered for admission to the McGill Masters. Transcripts should show local grades and may also show ECTS grades. ECTS grades cannot be used to calculate the CGPA accurately. Transcripts and/or Diploma Supplements should show ECTS credits for each course .
Degrees must be awarded from an accredited institution which is recognized by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
