4 The student will compare and order fractions and mixed numbers. SOL 4.2a; Number and Number Sense 4.1.5 The student will represent equivalent fractions through twelfths. SOL 4.2b; Number and Number Sense 4.1.7 The student will convert improper fractions to mix numbers and mixed numbers to improper fractions How will students demonstrate their understanding? Students will be demonstrating their knowledge of a previous lesson with adding, subtracting, and simplifying the fractions.

Intro to a Review of Simplifying, Adding, and Subtracting Fractions with a PowerPoint on the Smart Board. Students will be taking notes in process log and content folder and following along with the PowerPoint as the teacher is teaching. Students will then be given a 10 question practice worksheet. To work on before lunch.
