Minimum and Recommended PC Configurations -------------------------------------------Mirror's Edge requires at least the following minimum configuration: Operating System Microsoft Windows XP SP2/Vista Processor Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz or 100% compatible equivalent Memory 1GB RAM Video Card 256MB memory with Shader Model 3.0* HDD Space 8GB DVD Drive 1x DVD Drive Soundcard Soundcard with DirectX 9.0c compatibility DirectX DirectX 9.0c Network: An online connection is required for SecuROM** authoriza tion and access to Leaderboards It is recommended that your PC meets or exceeds the following configuration: Operating System Microsoft Windows XP SP2/Vista Processor Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz or 100% compatible equivalent Memory 2GB RAM or greater Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or greater, Shader Model 3.0, 512MB memory HDD Space 8GB or greater DVD Drive 1x DVD Drive or greater Soundcard Soundcard with DirectX 9.0c compatibility DirectX DirectX 9.0c or greater Network: An online connection is required for SecuROM** authoriza tion and access to Leaderboards * Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce 6800* or equivalent, GeForce 7300 is below minimum requirements, integrated chipsets may experience issues. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. ** SecuROM license allows for concurrent install on 5 separate, unique machines. The authorization check will run the first time you launch the game after insta llation and requires an internet connection to be present. The deauthorization p

rocess will run automatically when you uninstall Mirror's Edge and can also be r un manually from Start/All Programs/Ea Games/Mirror's Edge/Deauthorize this mach ine (for XP users) or the Games Explorer/Play menu when you highlight Mirror's E dge (for Vista users). This will remove authorization for the system and update your SecuROM license accordingly. This process also requires an internet connect ion to be present. --------------2. Installation --------------NOTE: Mirror's Edge will only install and run on machines installed with Windows XP or Windows Vista. To install from the Mirror's Edge DVD: 1. Start your machine and wait for the Windows XP/Vista operating system to load . 2. Place the Mirror's Edge DVD in the DVD drive. 3. Windows will automatically detect the DVD and launch the autorun options, fro m which the user can select to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen inst ructions to install Mirror's Edge. If needed, DirectX 9 will be installed or upg raded during the game installation. 4. For XP users, the installation program adds the program group EA Games/Mirror 's Edge to your Start/Programs menu, and a shortcut to your desktop (optional). Click on this shortcut or alternatively click on the start button on your Window s task bar. Under Programs/EA Games/Mirror's Edge select "Mirror's Edge" to play . For Vista users, the title will be added to the Games Explorer. From the Start menu, go to All Programs/Games and run Games Explorer. Note: If the Auto insert notification feature has been disabled or the DVD is no t recognized, run Setup.exe from the root directory of the DVD to begin the inst allation program. Digital Retail Installation Please contact the digital retailer through whom you purchased this game for ins tructions on how to install the game or how to download and reinstall another co py of the game. Note: If you d like additional information about your game as well as tips and pat ches please visit www.ea.com or www.eastore.com. ---------3. DirectX ---------For your convenience, we have included DirectX 9 on the Mirror's Edge DVD. a) Installing DirectX 9 directly from DVD Mirror's Edge comes with DirectX 9 and will install it during installation. If y ou would like to install it manually, make sure the Mirror's Edge DVD is in the DVD drive and browse to the following folder. "\DirectX" and click on DXSETUP.EXE

b) DirectX 9 and supported hardware It is highly recommended that you ensure that your computer's components are uti lizing the most recent DirectX 9.0 compatible software drivers. Please consult y our card manufacturer for their newest drivers. -----------4. Uninstall -----------To uninstall Mirror's Edge, click on the Start menu and select Settings\Control Panel (XP) or Control Panel (Vista). Now select Add or Remove Programs (XP) or P rograms/Features (Vista). Scroll down the list until you see Mirror's Edge, sele ct it and click on Change/Remove (XP) or Uninstall (Vista) to uninstall. The SecuROM deauthorization process will run when you uninstall Mirror's Edge, a nd will remove authorization for the system and update your SecuROM license acco rdingly. This process requires an internet connection to be present. ---------------------------5. Default Graphics settings ---------------------------The first time Mirror's Edge is started, a system check is performed and default levels are set for the options on the Graphics menu. These default levels are s et to provide the best game play experience possible depending on the hardware d etected in your system. -------------6. Peripherals -------------The following peripherals are compatible with Mirror's Edge: Microsoft Windows compatible keyboards and mice. Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller Logitech ChillStream Controller -----------------7. Troubleshooting -----------------Computer hardware manufacturers are constantly updating their driver software so that their hardware can play the latest software programs with the best possibl e performance. If your system is not using the latest drivers please consider ob taining an updated driver. Doing this may also give you benefits such as increas ed performance, the elimination of a technical problem and new component feature s. Mirror's Edge runs in full screen mode only. It is not recommended to use Alt+TA B or Alt+Enter commands in-game, as game functionality may be interrupted. For online connection, please ensure that Mirror's Edge can connect to the follo wing ports: 18680, 80, 443. If the game audio sounds unbalanced, please ensure that any audio enhancements a vailable to your sound card are disabled. ATI Catalyst Control Centre users who have deselected the Anti-Aliasing option " Use Application Settings" should disable Anti-Aliasing in the Mirror's Edge Vide o settings.

Vista users with single core processors may experience difficulties running Mirr or's Edge with User Account Control enabled. To disable this feature, load Contr ol Panel and select User Accounts. Then select "Turn User Account Control on or off" and uncheck the box. Vista will then prompt you to restart the system. Please note when remapping keyboard controls, that not all keys are available fo r remapping. Standard keys are supported, but you may experience issues if tryin g to assign controls to special characters on the keyboard. ------8. Help ------If the above does not resolve your problem then please use the EA Technical Help file situated in Start Menu/Programs/EA Games/Mirror's Edge/EA Technical Suppor t, or Vista users can access Technical Support by going to Start Menu/All Progra ms/Games and running Games Explorer then highlighting Mirror's Edge and selectin g Technical Support from the "Play" drop-down menu. -------9.
