31 Biblical Virtues to Pray for Your Wife

In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. Ephesians 5:28

DAY 1: Pray that your wife continues in love for the Lord God with all her heart, soul, mind and strength and that she seeks after Him with all her might in reverence and holy fear, ever growing in her dependence on Him. Pray that she will forever abide in His love. (Mark 12:30; Deuteronomy 4:29; Proverbs 31:30; Proverbs 3:5-6) DAY 2: Pray that your wife grows and continues in love for others, esteeming others better than herself, bringing peace, joy and hope to her family and others. (John 13:34; Philippians 2:3; 1 Thessalonians 5:13) DAY 3: Pray that time is made available to your wife each and every day for personal prayer, worship and devotion. Let vanity, covetousness and lying be far from her heart and lips and her conversation be of Heaven. Pray that God would help her stand against the world, the flesh and the devil. Pray that she would stand in the Lords armor and having done all, continue to stand victorious. (Ephesians 6:10-17) DAY 11: Pray that the Lord would help your wife with her image of herself. Pray that she doesnt think more of herself than she ought to and at the same time, that she knows she is all God has said she is through and in Christ Jesus. Pray that she remembers she is precious in Gods sight. (Romans 12:3; Ecclesiastes 7:16; Psalm 139; Romans 6:11) DAY 12: Pray that your wife looks well after her own house, building it in wisdom. Pray that God would grant her integrity, prudence, meekness, and diligence. (Proverbs 31:27; Proverbs 14:1; Proverbs 24:3; Titus 2:5) DAY 13: Pray that your wife has the wisdom, which comes from God, in her daily walk. Ask God to fill her with His spirit of wisdom. (Exodus 31:3; James 3:17; Ephesians 1:17) DAY 14: Pray that your wife is clothed in Gods strength, honor, charity and righteousness. (Proverbs 31:25; Romans 13:14; Ephesians 3:14-19; Colossians 3:12-14) DAY 15: Pray that the fruit of the Spirit grows ever more abundant and evident in your wifes life. (Galatians 5:22-23; John 15:8) DAY 16: Pray that the Lord would guard your wifes heart and mind from all deception, the eyes of her understanding being open to truth in all areas of life. DAY 17: Pray that your wife is a godly mother, admonishing and teaching her children in the ways and truths of the Lord. Pray that she is in all ways and all things a living example to them of holiness in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Deuteronomy 11:19-21; Psalm 78:6-7; Titus 2:3-5) DAY 18: Pray that your wife not be swayed nor overcome by circumstances that arise in her daily life and walk with God. Pray that her eyes remain fixed solely on Him. (Matthew 17:8; Hebrews 12:11; Philippians 3:14) DAY 19: Pray that your wife would be wise in scheduling her time throughout the day, and that her schedule would be prioritized in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:15-16) DAY 20: Pray that the Lord would bless the work of your wifes hands and let it be a praise and encouragement to her. (Proverbs 31:31; Hebrews 6:10) DAY 21: Pray that your wife will be honorable, useful, respected and a blessing to all who know her. (Proverbs 31:10-31; Proverbs 12:14; Proverbs 18:22; Proverbs 19:14) DAY 22: Pray that your wife knows Gods love for her, nothing wavering or doubting. (Exodus 20:12; Ephesians 6:2) DAY 24: Pray that the Lord would remind your wife each day that she can come boldly to His throne of grace and make her requests and needs known. (Hebrews 4:16; Matthew 7:7-11) DAY 25: Pray that the Lord would prepare your wife for spiritual battle help her take up and put on His armor, so that she is prepared each day for whatever she may encounter while her husband is away from home. Pray for God to be her defender when her husband cant. Pray that she remembers the battle belongs to the Lord and Jesus has won the victory. (Ephesians 6:10-18; Psalm 24:8; 1 Corinthians 15:57) DAY 26: Pray that your wife treasures her children as a special gift from the Lord. (Psalm 127:3; James 1:17) DAY 27: Pray that your wife would have an ever increasing amount of faith to believe God and His Word in all things. (Luke 17:5; Philippians 4:13) DAY 28: Pray that your wife will be submissive to the Lord in all things, being a godly wife and helper to her husband and that your marriage will openly reflect the love and submission of Jesus for the church. (Ephesians 5:22-33; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:5) DAY 29: Pray that your wifes heart will beat with a burden for the souls of the lost, even as the Lords does. (Matthew 28:19-20) DAY 30: Pray that your wife will have a long, healthy life and that she will prosper in whatever God set her hands to doing.
