Program Information
Ontario Early Years-satellite location of Thorncliffe Neighborhood Office Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30am to 11:30am Family Time Drop-in with your infant/child Safe, age-appropriate toys, games, activities and crafts for ages 0 -6 yrs old. Healthy snacks served, Circle time using American Sign Language vocabulary Resources and information regarding typical infant and child development Connection/referral to special needs resources. Monthly visits by Toronto Public Health and publicly funded partner agencies. Bring your questions on behavior, normal development, oral health, nutrition. Deaf Parent Resource Group: we are a member of the DPRG, supporting parenting programs accessible to Deaf-parented families.
Specialized Parent-Infant Program (PIP) For families with infants and children with any degree of hearing loss: Unilateral, mild, moderate, severe, profound. Wednesdays and Fridays 9:30am to 12:00pm Safe, age-appropriate toys, games, crafts and activities with a focus on supporting parents whose children have hearing loss. Ages 0-6yrs old. Healthy snacks served. Workshops throughout the year: Please ask staff for a flyer. Infant Hearing Program workshops: evening workshops for parents whose children have hearing loss. Childcare provided with RSVP. PALS (Play and Learn Sessions): Presented by the Provincial Schools Branch Home Visiting and Outreach Program. Topics in clued audiology, bilingual language learning, Experience book workshops. Preregistration is required. Childcare provided by teachers. Baby American Sign Language Classes

ASL Parent-Child Mother Goose: learn to use American Sign Language to share stories, rhymes and songs with your child. This class requires pre-registration., Parent-led social events-please ask us about these!

The Rumball Family Resource Lending Library is a free library of toys, books, DVDs, CDs for parents with children who have a diagnosed permanent hearing loss. We have resources in Chinese, French, Spanish and ASL. Topics include: Audiology/understanding hearing loss Auditory Verbal Therapy Hearing technology Sensory Processing American Sign Language Deaf culture Crafts, games and play ideas for all ages Syndromes that include hearing loss
