Chicken Curry With Potato

Introduction
This document was designed to help reader cook one of the most famous dishes in Southeast Asia Chicken Curry. To add more flavor to the chicken curry dish, I have added potato to the dish making it chicken curry with potato. This recipe requires 10 minutes preparation and 40 minutes cooking time with serving for 4 persons. Caution: Beware of getting burned by hot stove

Note: Make sure cooking is done atleast at 1700F

1 lbs Chicken 4 Tablespoon Salt 2 Green Elaichi

2 Onions 2 Black Cardamom

4 Potatoes 1

1 Cup Vegetable oil

Tablespoon Turmeric Power Three pieces of Cinnamon Stick

Tablespoon Chicken Masala tablespoon ginger and garlic paste

Cooking Instruction
Note: Clean the chicken, potatoes, and onions with water before cutting

Preparation instruction
Step 1: Cut chicken into around 3 inch size pieces Step 2: Slice potatoes into inch rectangular size shape Step 3: Slice onions into thin size shape Step 4: Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, curry powder, chicken masala, salt, ginger and garlic paste, green elaichi, black cardamom, and cinnamon stick into a bowl with chicken. Step 5: Mix chicken with ingredients mention in step 4 and let it marinate for 10 minutes Mix everything by hand to let spices penetrated the chicken as shown on image 1. Caution: Wear glove when mixing with hand to avoid spices burn

Cooking instruction
Step 1: Add 1 cup oil and onion into a cooking pan Step 2: Stir the onion in oil for 5 minutes or until onion getting soft. Note: Do not overcook the onion

Step 3: Add marinated chicken to the pan Step 4: Stir the chicken with onion for about 15 minutes or until chicken become golden color Note: Do not overcook or burn the chicken

Step 6: Add 1 cup of water into the pan Step 6: Stir the potatoes with chicken for about 5 minutes or until both potatoes and chicken are golden color Note: Make sure not to burn the chicken or potatoes Step 7: Add 3 cups of water to the pan and let it cook for 15 minutes Note: Add more water or salt if needed Step 8: Make sure both chicken and potatoes are cook properly through Check the chicken with thermostat to make sure cooking at 1700F Step 9: Serve the dish hot

Conclusion
You have just finished cooking Chicken Curry with Potatoes. You can add different types of vegetable to the dish if you like. You might add more chilli powder to make the dish spicy. This dish goes very well with rice or bread.
