Violence Prevention Coordinator Position Summary: Under the direction of Bright Future Foundations Executive Director and Clinical

Director, the Violence Prevention Coordinator will support the mission of the organization by providing violence prevention programming at an individual, school, and community level. The Violence Prevention Coordinator will prioritize the use of evidence based prevention curriculum and assessment measures for all prevention efforts. The EmpowerMENt program/curriculum will be the focus of all on-going school-based programs. The Violence Prevention Coordinator will coordinate and facilitate all EmpowerMENt programs with the assistance of an EmpowerMENt specific cofacilitator. The Prevention Coordinator will be responsible for data assessment and collection specifically focusing on program effectiveness. The Prevention Coordinator will serve as the liaison between Bright Future Foundation and the Eagle County School District and will coordinate all school-based programs. As such, additional training duties may include training of Eagle County School District Personnel or community partner agencies. Lastly, the Violence Prevention Coordinator will also provide additional one-time prevention presentations to the school and community on various topics relating to interpersonal violence. The Violence Prevention Coordinator will meet regularly with the Executive Director to discuss programming and community partnerships. Additionally, the Violence Prevention Coordinator will meet regularly with the Clinical Director, who will oversee clinical/prevention programs and initiatives. The Violence Prevention Coordinator will attend regular staff meetings, compose program updates, maintain a clinical database, institute assessment and quality assurance measures, and provide general office support duties as needed. The Violence Prevention Coordinator will also provide emergency, on-call coverage for the 24-7 crisis hotline on a rotating basis. Job duties may also entail periodic updates to the curriculum and/or curriculum development. Job description is subject to additional responsibilities as assigned. School- Based Prevention Programming (80% of time, approx. 32hrs/week) Collaborate with the clinical director to implement the EmpowerMENt model/curriculum with four school dyads (eight total schools). Coordinate and implement structured time-limited Violence Prevention curriculums. Curriculums should be grade/age appropriate. Work with local academic institutions to determine additional prevention topics that they would like to see addressed. Work with local academic institutions to provide primary prevention training to all staff.

Collaborate with school officials to determine students who may benefit from participation in BFF schoolbased programming. Coordinate all school-based programming utilizing intern, volunteer, and contract service support. Provide additional one-time prevention and intervention presentations, as requested by the school. Utilize assessment or quality assurance measures regularly and maintain responses in database.

Clinical Advocacy Services (20% of time, approx. 8hrs/week) Provide direct advocacy services to clients (individual, family, and group). Conduct intakes on new clients. Advocate a holistic view of healing, focusing on psychological, economic, legal, physical/medical, and educational ramifications of abuse. Conduct mental health screens on clients in need of emergency services prior to admission to the shelter

Additional Responsibilities: Provide coverage for emergency the 24-7 crisis hotline on a rotating basis. Represent Bright Future Foundation on community task forces and collaboration groups Actively promote Bright Future Foundations mission/vision by participating in awareness-building opportunities (trainings, forums, panel discussions, etc.). Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Degree or certificate in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Masters degree preferable. 3 years of education experience and/or 3 years of non-profit agency experience. Must provide enough information for a thorough background check. Valid Colorado drivers license and acceptable driving record. Ability to communicate in both oral and written form in English. Ability to independently lead school groups. Ability to work harmoniously with employees and volunteers. Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations

Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Expected hiring range: 42,000-47,000. Generous benefits.
