It's a New Year already. I've wished you a "happy one". I pray it is for you. It is for me. I have so much to be grateful for. I have such good health in comparison with so many friends. I have no problems that are life-threatening or painful, just
inconvenient tremors, imbalance, some shortness of breath. I can still do most of the

stretching and strengthening exercises I did 40 years ago, and do them regularly. I can still hear well, so can communicate with those around me. My eyes are checked regularly with almost no change. I'm going to have my glasses checked. I'm especially thankful for new ways to communicate the internet, email, Face book, cell phones, and that I hear from many of you that way. If you receive this by "snail mail" but have an email address, please let me know. I could send it to you more quickly and cheaply that way. I receive Social Security which covers my living expenses. A few supporters continue to send gifts which helps with utilities. They
are still tax-deductible.

"I have no greaterjoy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." I agree with the apostle John! I pray each one of you is doing that, and am happy to hear
about it. We don't need to be "full-time" workers, but we do need to be full-time

Christians and serve Him every day in whatever we do. I'm especially happy when I hear how the Lord is using family like Leta's daughter, Anya, who has been serving with a YWAM group Destination Paradise for two years, I think. She is fund-raising to serve on staff and go to their "School of Worship" in April. Leta continues to teach

Kindergarten in a Christian school, and teaches teachers in a weekly college class. They host a weekly small group in their home. I enjoy the weekly small group that Amy teaches, as do the other ladies and they are so grateful for the knowledge she imparts from other scripture as we consider the lessons James teaches. She serves the community through the school PTSA and other groups. Her daughter, Bettina, and husband Jeff are worship leaders, teachers, and computer designers for their church in
MI. Anita is an interpreter for the deaf.

The King children serve us all in the military forces. 1 think you knew that Leilani is an army medic and is now in Texas after a tour in Iraq. Kawiki served as a Sea Bee in Afghanistan, is now married and is living in Nebraska, but is still in the reserves. Robert is studying to be a naval nuclear electronic engineer, now in South Carolina.
They all hope be here this summer to celebrate Moani's graduation from high school. That will be such great time. She loves people and has many friends; she is an active member of the church youth group. 1 was pleased to hear the preacher say in his sermon that Moani was forming a small group there.
