distillation, liquid-liquid extraction and absorption
7. Use and apply modeling and simulation models for design of heat exchangers and heat exchanger network.
8. Consider design constraints and categories of each process vessels/equipment in equipment sizing and selection.
9. Identify characterization parameters of materials and their significance in the design of equipment.
10. Identify specific equipment/process vessels for a particular process flow.
11 Perform basic equipment design calculation procedures.

Course Goals
1. Provide students with basic knowledge on the various unit operations design
2. Provide students with a solid foundation on engineering materials necessary to carry out
engineering design.
3. Provide foundation for subsequent courses in chemical engineering.

1. Develop comprehensive understanding of process equipment
design methodologies and techniques

2. Gain practical knowledge and skills in the process plant
equipment

program in the design of process equipment
