Balck Forest Cake

A different chocolate cake with a high layer of cream. Be sure to follow the recipe step.

Ingredients
2 eggs
85 grams sugar
40 grams self raising flour
15 grams cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 talespoons powdered sugar for the syrup
! talespoons melted utter or margarine
For decoration
grated chocolate
iscuits crums for decoration
For the crust
2 talespoons melted utter or margarine
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons melted rasperry "am
# to 8 $arie iscuits
For the cream
1 packet strong gelatine
2 egg % whites
5 talespoons powdered sugar
1&2 teaspoon vanilla essence
200 grams fresh cream

For the cake
1. 'rease and dust a 1(5 mm. ) (*+ diameter tin.
2. ,ieve the flour and cocoa together.
!. Beat the eggs and sugar very well until thick and doule in -uantity. .his should
take 4 to 5 minutes.
4. Add the flour/ melted utter/ essence and 2 talespoons of water. $i0 with a metal
spoon.
5. 1our the mi0ture into the prepared tin.
#. Bake in a hot oven at 40023 for 10 minutes. .hereafter/ reduce the temperature to
!5023 and ake for a further ( minutes.
(. 4ool te cake.
8. 5ivide the cake into 2 parts hori6ontally. .he top part should e thinner than the
other one.
7. $ake a syrup y mi0ing 1&2 teacup of water very well with 2 teaspoons of
powdered sugar. 8f you like/ add a little rum or other li-uor to the syrup.
10. ,prinkle a little syrup over the two cake parts and allow to soak. 9epeat after 10
minutes. Be sure that the cakes are moist.
For the crust
1. 4rush the iscuits. Add the sugar and melted utter.
2. Apply the "am on the ack of the cake.
!. 1ress the iscuit mi0ture over the "am.
For the cream
1. $i0 the gelatine in 4 talespoons of cold water. :eat on a slow flame until it
dissolves completly.
2. Beat the cream with sugar. ;eep aside 2 talespoons for decoration.
!. $i0 the gelatine solution and cream well.
4. Beat the egg % whites stiffly.
5. $i0 the eaten egg % whites and vanilla essence.
#. 'rease a 150 mm. )#*+ diameter mould. 1our the mi0ture into it.
(. ,et it in the free6er compartment of a refrigerator.
8. <hen the cream sets/ dip the mould in hot water for a few seconds.
How to proceed
1. 1lace the sets cream on the thick part of the cake/ 1ut the thin part on the top and
press well.
2. 5ecorate the cake with the saved cream and grated chocolate. Apply a few iscuit
crums on the sides of the cream.
!. ,tore the cake in a refrigerator.
4. 4ut into slices and serve.
