Activity 1: Written activity Objective: To reinforce Present Perfect Simple. Estimated time: 10 minutes. Activity/class organization: S-S, S-T interaction/ pair activity. Procedure: The students will write on the worksheet the correct answer. They may check their answers with their desk mates. Aids: Students worksheets. Language: All and any. Possible problems: None.
Activity 2: Written activity, gap filling exercise. Objective: To make a clear difference between Present Perfect Simple and Past Tense. Estimated time: 15 minutes. Activity/class organization: S-S, S-T interaction/ pair activity. Procedure: The students will put the verbs in brackets into the most appropriate perfect or past tense. ( exercise 2/page 22) They may compare their answers with their desk mates. The teacher will write on the blackboard the correct answers. Aids: Students worksheets. Language: All and any. Possible problems: None.
Activity 3: Written activity, rephrasing exercise. Objective: To use the correct English tense required by the context. Estimated time: 15 minutes. Activity/class organization: S-S, S-T interaction/ pair activity. Procedure: The students will work on the worksheets given by the teacher. They have to rewrite the sentences so as the meaning stays the same (exercise 4/ page23). They may compare their answers with their desk mates. The teacher will write on the blackboard the correct sentences. Aids: Students worksheet. Language: All and any. Possible problems: They may not understand the task.
