Alternate 2 Stayed Bascule
Four tower stayed spans provide a lower height profile than the swing
option. The layout provides a movable span indistinguishable from the
rest in the closed position. Rhythmic repetition of the span layout along
the crossing, carefully sculptured diamond towers and the articulated
stay profiles are the key features of this design.

Alternate 3 Arched Bascule
Arched bascule profile provides a bridge alternative with a traditional
yet unique flavor. Main span of 550-ft is needed for this option to
provide the required 250-ft navigational clearance due to the deeper
profile of the bridge near the main piers. The approach spans leading to
the movable section are of concrete construction.
