The Well of Lifes Source, Jesus our
Saviour, went to the Well of Jacob
the Patriarch, and He asked a
Samaritan Woman for a drink of
water. When she objected that a Jew
would have no dealings with her, the
Wise Creator diverted her with sweet
words to ask instead for the Eternal
Water. When she had received it,
she proclaimed It to all, saying:

is Christ the Redeemer. A spotless

the Faithful. A Pascha that has

A Pascha that Sanctifies all the

Zion: Receive from us the Tiding of
Joy, of the Resurrection of Christ!
Exalt, rejoice and be glad, O

from the Tomb.
So shall the wicked perish at the
Presence of God; and let the
Righteous rejoice.
The Myrrh-bearing Women, at deep
dawn, drew near to the Tomb of the
Giver of Life, and they found an
Angel sitting upon the stone, and
he cried to them and said: Why do
you seek the Living among the
dead? Why do you mourn the
Incorruptible amid corruption? Go,
proclaim to His Disciples.
This is Day that the Lord has made:
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
A Pascha of Delight! A Pascha of the
Lord! Pascha, an All Venerable
Pascha has dawned for us! A
Pascha on which let us embrace one
another with Joy! O Pascvha,
Ransom for sorrow! From the
Tomb as from a Bridal Chamber,
Christ today shone forth, and filled
the Women with Joy, saying:
Proclaim to the Apostles!

Now on the first day of the week Mary
Magdalene went to the Tomb early,
while it was still dark, and saw that
the stone had been taken away from
the Tomb.
Then she ran and went to Simon Peter,
and to the other Disciple, whom Jesus
Loved, and said to them: They have
taken away the Lord out of the Tomb,
and we do not know where they have
laid Him!
Peter therefore went out, and the other
Disciple, and they hastened to the
Tomb.
So they both ran together, and the other
Disciple outran Peter and got to the
Tomb first, and, stooping down, he
looked in and saw the Linen Cloths
lying there, but he did not enter.
Then Simon Peter arrived, following him,
and he went into the Tomb; and he
saw the linen Cloths lying there,
and the Handkerchief that had been
around His Head, not lying with the
linen Cloths, but folded together in a
place by itself.
Then the other Disciple, who got to the
Tomb first, also went in; and he saw
and believed. For as yet they did not
know the Scripture - that He must Rise
