Act as a relief charge nurse for a 72 bed combined Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, including
management of patient throughput, mentoring other care team members, and rounding on patients to maintain
excellent customer service.
Precept new graduate nurses, experienced nurse hires, and nursing students using extensive knowledge of
institutional policies and procedures and knowledge gained through completion of the Preceptor Competency

Currently administering a FOCUS-PDCA to improve University of Colorado Hospitals HCAHPS scores

performance of diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical machinery.
Educate patients and their families regarding how to manage illnesses or injuries; post-treatment home care
needs; diet, nutrition, and exercise programs; and self-administration of medication and physical therapy.
Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, provide advice and emotional support to each
patients family members, and coordinate individualized case management, patient follow-up, and rehab.
Supervise and provide direction to Certified Nursing Assistants and Associate Care Partners regarding patient
care.
