III. Problem Presented:

Shown Angelo Megino was referred by the community leader to the FCED office
because the child is currently experiencing minor irrational fear and anxiety

IV. Background of the Child:

Shown Angelo and his family reside in the area covered by the FCED project.
The family derives from the meager income of the couple. His father is working as a
laborer and he earns 150 per day in irregular basis only, while his mother is also
working as Product tester and she earned 400 a week.

The child is currently enrolled in grade IV. He has a good performance in the
class. Last year, the child is belong to the top 5 in the class. He is a bright boy. His
parents are proud of him because he is fourth honor in their class when he is in grade
III. His favorite subjects are Filipino and English. He does his homework before he
 watches the television or plays. He study very well. He wants to maintain being an
honor student until he finishes his studies. He wants to become a pilot someday.

The child is fond in writing, reading and drawing. He is close to his parents.
His parents give him full attention and monitor his studies. Aside from his interest in
school, he still has time to play. He has a lot of friends in school and in their
community.

The child and his family has positive attitude towards their relationship with
God. They belong to the Roman Catholic. They attend mass every Sunday. The child
is actively participating catechisms.

V. History of the Problem:

Last June 21, 2009, when Shawn Angelo and his family was disturb their
dinner by the couples from their neighbor who are quarreling to each other, because the
couple already fighting inside their house. Shawn witness the fighting couple who
throwing objects from their house to each other. In fact the couple was crash to the
Shawn while they are fighting to each other.

That incident brought trauma to Shawn. According to the family, after that
incident they notice that Shawn always afraid to be alone. He always close their door and
stay inside their house. The child did not want to mingle with others. He can perform
very well to his studies because he is always anxious because he thought about the couple
will fight again.

VI. Recommendation :

As per assessment, Shawn Angelo Megino needs to undergo with

Psychological therapy for him to be able to remove his fear and anxiety.
