Riego

Irrigation
- The right to water is to replace the lost water from the ground product of soil evaporation and plant
transpiration. The amount of water loss from soil and transpiration is called evapotranspiration
- The water must be Daily in the spring and summer. In winter and autumn, according to weather
conditions.
- It is important that irrigation is carried out before 10 am and after 6 pm (spring, summer), as are
the hours of less heat, this is because there will be less water evaporation from the soil and
increased efficiency in water use by crops.
- Hand-watering will take place as close to ground as possible, irrigating the land, their poceta or
cup or environment, without touching the stem, leaves, flowers or fruit.
- Irrigation should be very close to the plant (bulb wetting), so that water does not fall very hard on
the floor, thus avoiding erode.
- The irrigation system that exists in the Eco Homa Farm is: we have two little wells and buckets to
irrigate efficiently melgas possessing all crops, must fill all the buckets and wait about an hour and a
half, so that the water level returns to its original state and restart the filling of pots and continue
watering. Approximately meiga reaches for a bucket, depending on crop type, number of plant, etc.
- For the melgas that are newly planted, deliver enough moisture seek to stimulate germination
(spring, summer).
- In the case of fruit, each tree has an irrigation hole of irrigation or “poceta”. This have to fill of
water twice, trying to fill that water does not exceed the hole, thus avoiding erosion and degradation
of it.
- In the case of fruit, add Agnihotra ash, trying to cover the entire base of the tree fruit.
- To counter pockets of infestation, apply Agnihotra Ash in the worst affected areas.
- If you have a small amount of Agnihotra ash, is suggested to develop Agnihotra Ash Solution and
thus make fertilizers and pest eradication and / or diseases.
- Seed and / or transplantation, before introducing the seeds or seedlings, applying ash
Tryambakam Homa.
- To promote growth, bud, flowering, fruit set, etc., application of Agnihotra solution every 4 days. It
should be in effect clockwise.
- By observing insect attack (considered pests) and / or ifectaciones (fungi, bacteria, etc.),
application is by spray pump that is placed on the back. The movement of the spray should be in an
anti-clockwise. Spray 2 times a day.
Preparation: 100 g of ash for 20 liters of water. Allow to marinate for 3 nights with a Yantra in the
background and the geometric figure upward.
Tutores - Keep tutoring the tomatoes, raspberries and other climber plants.
Cleaning up
- Constant weeding of tall grass and competitive culture. Be careful not to depopulate of plants,
melgas or ridges, because they help maintain soil moisture and conserve biodiversity. Be careful
not to eradicate a valuable plant, unique, temporary, sometimes confused with others.
Humus Every 20 days, to soil and plant nutrition should be mainstreamed Solid Worm Humus.

Methodology:
- The standard of meiga area covers an area of 60 cm wide x 12 mts long plus a perimeter groove
about 10 cm as its border. The depth of the Melga is 20-30 inches and as a cobetura of another 20-
30 cm ( "high bed").
- Clean the mulch, stones, or herbs that are in the area chosen for the formation of the meiga.
- The soils of the area are very compact and have a lot of stone, so to initiate the opening of the
trench should help with his pike and / or the hoe, the length and wide of the line. It is advisable to
wet the soil beforehand. We suggest piling the stones in a place defined by the operator or spread
on a path that goes from the "Japanese Bridge" to the South Plains.
- Once the above operation, proceed to take the land with the help of the shovel until the desired
depth, the aim of making the stones medium / large to go. The objective is to obtain the desired
depth and according to a variety of crops, leaving land as uniform as possible.
- Made the above, apply Tryambakam Ash (as basic primer method of maintaining the Homa
Orchard)
- Then applies a layer of leaf compost or soil. Cow dung mature mixed may apply as needed.
- Once the establishment of the crop, incorporating the Mulch (straw dry) across the surface of the
meiga, trying to leave the space where planted or transplanted (to facilitate growth and irrigation).
Mulch is the function of protecting the vegetation cover, reducing water evaporation from soil and
unwanted weed growth, among other benefits.
-Ready the meiga structure the follows is the transplanting or seeding in certain places depending
on the type of crop, such as whether they are vegetables that are suggested in zig-.zag sense.
Whereas if they were crops tubers such as potatoes, carrots, beets, are advised that the melgas
conducting an opening in the center.

Composting
Process: The process of composting is the aerobic degradation of organic matter by beneficial
microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, etc.). They use organic matter as a food source and as a result of their
growth and activity, release heat, CO2, water vapor and fresh material are also in one stable.
Materials: Organic material or materials used for this process is divided into two groups: green (wet) and the
Browns.
Greens: green waste, kitchen remains of fruits and vegetables, tea bags (without labels), cobs of corn (chop
before adding), manure from herbivores, among others.
Brown: remnants of pruning, cereal straw, wood chips, sawdust, leaves, wood ash (not treated), paper and
board (chop and incorporate small amounts) and so on.
There are organic waste that can cause problems if they are incorporated into this process, for example,
traces of fat, dairy products, meat, pet feces, sheets of magazines, diseased plants, herbs unwanted and
their seeds, crop residues that have been treated with pesticides, coal ash, cooked food, oils, rocks, glass,
metals, among others. By incorporating the previously appointed to the cell, promotes the emergence of
vector, mice, flies, odors, breeding of unwanted weeds, spread of pests and diseases, delay in the process,
and so on.
