Lesson Plan 2

Date: September 28, 2009 Level: Second year of high school

Skill: Speaking

Expected Outcomes: Students will be able to distinguish “countable and uncountable” nouns by brainstorming ideas, they
will be able to identify the different uses of how much/many. Students will be able to ask short questions using “be + there” in
order to find the differences between two pictures.

Resources: white board, markers, 39 images for the closing game.

Introduction

Morning prayer 5’ Every Monday morning the students pray for their personal intentions.

Take roll call 3’

Objectives presentation 2’ Students will be told about what the lesson is going to be about and what the main
objectives are.

Core of the class

Review 5’ Students will be asked to talk about what they learned in the previous session by
setting a sentence and making them to recognize the studied structures; in order to
teach the next content based on their previous knowledge. Students will be asked
to put their name tags on their table.

Brainstorming about 8’ Students will be asked about things they think that are countable and uncountable

Closing

Finding the differences 17’ Students will be paired up, each one will have the same picture but with some
differences. Students will have to ask their partner by using “Be + there” questions
in order to find out what is different in the picture.

Summary 7’ All together, we will make a summary of all what we learned during the lesson, in
order to clarify any doubt about the content.
