Transcribed Faculty and Board of Trustees minutes ledgers from 1832 to 1859,
developed a plan for cross reference, and embedded links in related college history
materials, and digitized documents for the colleges Special Collections.

National Civil War Museum, Harrisburg, PA Volunteer, December 2011 July 2012
Aided curator with transcription of Civil War era journals and letters to develop a digital
database accessible to researchers. Compiled a tentative calendar for the Civil War
sesquicentennial to advertise both local and national events to Harrisburg area audiences.





RELEVANT PROJECTS

Historic Engel Stadium, Chattanooga, TN January 2014 Present
Collaborative effort developing a Heritage Development Plan for the historic baseball
stadium. Providing the Engel Foundation with a sustainable business plan based upon
suggestions for structural improvements, interpretative walking tours, museum exhibits,
and marketing opportunities. Specifically, my role involves development of permanent
exhibits for the stadium property and a traveling exhibit to advertise the site and educate
the local community.

Russell Cave National Monument, Bridgeport, AL January 2014 Present
Producing a survey history of the African American experience in nineteenth century
Jackson County, Alabama. The survey includes enslavement, Civil War service, and
Reconstruction. The research will be synthesized into interpretive themes for future
public programming and published on the National Park Service website.

Cemetery Community, Murfreesboro, TN September 2013 December 2013
Developed content and framework for future smartphone tour of the freedmens village
that existed on the land that is now Stones River National Battlefield. The proposed tour
included an interpretive narrative, which relied heavily on primary documents and the
current landscape to recreate the built environment lost during the National Park Service
seizure of land.
