Housing Development: Coordinated all aspects of development for more than 80 of MPHC’s
affordable housing projects (not including 10 projects underway upon retirement):
• New construction: 3,000+ rental units; four projects of first-time-ownership housing,
totaling 129 units. Responsible for securing all entitlements, financing and subsidies,
as well as negotiating partnerships.
Housing Services: Directed non-profit company and its Mid-Peninsula Housing Services
Corporation, which provides social services and service coordination to MPHC tenants.
Fostering New Organizations: Prepared business plan, organized board of directors and
raised over $500,000 to capitalize a new independent non-profit corporation, Shelter
Network of San Mateo County. Shelter network is now the largest homeless service provider
in the county. Assisted in start-up of a new regional non-profit affordable housing
advocacy/education organization, the Leadership Council of San Mateo County, and served
as fiscal agent during its first two years

(CHIP)
CHIP is a private non-profit housing agency providing a variety of housing services to low
income households In a predominantly rural area. Responsible for developing and
supervising various housing programs, including:
Mutual Self-Help Housing: Organized groups of families and provided technical assistance in
building and financing new homes.
