VADEA Regional Inspire and Indulge Mid North Coast
Region
VADEA Inspire Mid North Coast Region is a professional
development day for visual arts teachers. It will be held at
Melville High School in Kempsey (8.45am -3pm) this will
be followed by VADEA Indulge Mid North Coast Region
presentation Up Loaded : An evening with artist Julie Rrap
at the Glasshouse Regional Gallery in Port Macquarie
(5pm-7pm).
Participants can attend both professional development
opportunities or select each independently.
VADEA Inspire Mid North Coast Region
On the 29th of May, 2014 Melville High School will host
the second of a series of VADEA Regional Inspire
professional development days for Visual Arts teachers in
regional areas to share resources, new ideas, programs
and learning strategies for teaching Visual Arts, Visual
Design and Photographic and Digital Media.
The focus of Regional Inspire is Stage 4 to Stage 6.The
program format includes a series of short presentations
from visual arts educators including Alan Guihot (Head
Teacher, Visual Arts, Melville High School), My Le Thi
(Artist), Sue Marsh (Head Teacher, Visual Arts, Kempsey
High School), Chris Beyer (Visual Arts Teacher, Westport
High School) Skye Frost (Public Programs and Audience
Development Ofcer, the Glasshouse Regional Gallery),
VADEA executive members Wendy Ramsay (Regional
Support Ofcer and Visual Arts Lecturer, UTS ) and
Stephen Collins (Executive member and Head of Visual
Arts, Trinity Grammar School).
Presentations will address the dissemination of
knowledge, understanding and skills in the making and
the critical and historical study of visual arts informed by
practice, the conceptual framework and the frames.
Each participant is asked to bring a unit of work,
program overview or resource to share with colleagues.

VADEA Indulge is a free VADEA NSW event aimed at
bringing members together to 'indulge' in an
informal evening of art, listen to specialist speakers
and make new professional contacts in a collegial
atmosphere.
VADEA in conjunction with the Glasshouse Regional
Gallery will present Up Loaded : An evening with artist
Julie Rrap. Drinks and nibbles provided.

the Glasshouse Regional Gallery in Port Macquarie.
Up Loaded: An Evening with Julie Rrap is a free VADEA event aimed at
bringing VADEA members together to 'indulge' in an informal evening of art,
