1. (a) NAME: The Association shall be known, called and addressed as Great
Ife Alumni Ass!iatin" (hereinafter referred as The Association).

2. The aims and objectives of the Association shall be:
a) To serve as the official link between the bafemi Awolowo !niversit", #le$#fe,
s%n &tate (hereinafter called The !niversit") and the Association,
whereb" %'$to date and vital information re(ardin( the instit%tion ma" be
'assed from it to the Association and vice$versa.
b) To enco%ra(e all Al%mnae to retain their interest in and lo"alt" to the
!niversit" at all times.
c) To initiate and e)ec%te 'ro(rammes and*or activities aimed at acceleratin( the
overall (rowth and develo'ment of the !niversit".
d) To initiate and e)ec%te meas%res aimed at 'reservin(, 'rotectin( and defendin(
the (ood name of the !niversit".
e) To 'rovide necessar" enco%ra(ement incl%din( financial assistance to and
effective leadershi' for the st%dents of the !niversit".

Association on administrative and 'roced%ral matters.
ii. To assist the ,ational &ecretar" in visitin( and sendin( vital information
to the branches of the Association.
iii. To assist the Treas%rer and*or the 6inancial &ecretar" in collectin(
membershi' re(istration fees from (rad%atin( st%dents and ens%rin( that
the said collection is 'rom'tl" 'aid into the acco%nt of the Association.
iv. To carr" o%t an" other assi(nments that ma" be entr%sted to him b" the
Association.

c) Take 'olic" decisions on all matters affectin( the warfare of the
!niversit" and*or the Association.

T+E NATIONAL EFECUTI*E COUNCIL (NEC)
12. There shall be established a ,ational 1)ec%tive 2o%ncil (,12) of the
Association and its d%ties shall incl%de the followin(:$
a) 2arr" o%t all the 'olic" decisions of the Association and initiate s%ch other
'ro(rammes and activities that are in conformit" with the objectives of the
Association.
b) The co%ncil shall have 'ower to take decisions on behalf of and act for
the Association in between ,ational 2onventions as and when necessar".
c) The co%ncil shall stand dissolved at the e)'iration of its two "ears term of
office or on the 'assin( of a motion of no confidence carried o%t b" at least two
thirds (or the ne)t whole n%mber (reater than two thirds) of the total n%mber of
members 'resent and votin( at an" emer(enc" ,ational 2onvention called
s'ecificall" for s%ch '%r'ose.

(#) T+E NATIONAL AUDITOR
(i) The ,ational A%ditor shall be a 'rofessional acco%ntant who
shall be a''ointed b" and d%rin( the ,ational 2onvention from a list of
A%ditors 'resented to the ,ational 2onvention b" the ,12
(ii) nl" a sim'le majorit" is re-%ired for '%r'oses of a''ointment or
removal of the ,ational A%ditor. An" vacanc" occ%rrin( in the office of
the ,ational A%ditor d%rin( the "ear shall be filled b" the ,12 in one of
its s%bse-%ent meetin(s
(iii) The ,ational A%ditor shall have access to check, ins'ect and
a%dit as soon as 'racticable after the end of the financial "ear not less
than two months before the ne)t 2onvention, all the financial records of

in his financial obli(ations to his branch shall be dis-%alified from nominatin(

interested candidates in his branch and also ens%res that the" (et to the
