AMENDED ORDINANCE

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Lawrence that the Revised Ordinances
of the City of Lawrence are hereby further amended by DELETING the following Section
10.2.020 o! t"e M#nici$%& Co'e (Co))e*ci%& +%*,in- +*o"i.ite' on Ce*t%in St*eet/01
A. No person shall park or leave standing on any street or portion thereof in a residence
district as defined by the !oning ordinance of the city any commercial vehicle
having a manufacturer"s gross vehicle weight rating of #$$$$ pounds or more or any
full%si!ed bus including school buses. &he prohibition hereby imposed shall not
apply to the parking or standing of such vehicle for the purpose of making pickups or
deliveries from or to any building or structure located within such residence district
or for the purpose of delivering materials or providing a service to be used in the
repair alteration remodeling or construction of any such building or structure for
which a building permit has been obtained.
B. Any person firm or corporation violating the provisions of this section shall be
punished by a fine in the amount of '#(.$$ for each offense and a separate offense
shall be deemed committed on each day during which a violation occurs or continues.

C. )ehicles parked in violation of this section shall be sub*ect to being towed in
accordance with the provisions of section #$.+,.#-$ as well as sub*ect to punishment
by fine.
And inserting in its place and stead the following new Section 10.2.020 o! t"e M#nici$%& Co'e

&o the e.tent that there e.ists any ordinances to the contrary they are hereby repealed in that
respect only.
