Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp is returning to

Pine Island August 4-8.
Pine Island Youth Soccer Association (PIYSA) has once again teamed up
with Challenger Sports to offer the week-long British Soccer camp to
players from Pine Island and Zumbrota-Mazeppa. The camp will be held
at the Pine Island soccer fields, with sessions being offered to youth from
age 3 through those entering grade 12. Last years return camp was a
great success, with 80 area youths participating.
Challengers British Soccer Camps have been running in the US for over
20 years. Challenger has become the largest soccer camp in North
America by combining consistently high quality, age specific soccer
instruction, along with equally important elements of character, cultural,
and nutritional education. It is expected that nearly 100,000 boys and
girls will participate in Challenger soccer camps throughout the United
States and Canada this summer.
PI-ZM camp participants in will be coached in an age-appropriate
manner by members of Challengers British coaching staff, flown to the
USA exclusively to work on these programs. Each day the participants
will practice and master new individual skills and understand small
group and team tactics through Challengers innovative camp curriculum. Campers will also scrimmage each day in the always popular
Camp World Cup! The coaches use this daily tournament to teach the
players about life, customs and traditions of other countries. The
campers are asked to make up cheers, bring flags, dress up and learn
as much as they can about the country they represent.
PIYSA is offering age-specific British Soccer camp sessions for the
