01 SYSTEM INTRODUCTION

GIS Vehicles monitoring has taken advantages of long-distance
communication lines from GPRS networks of reputed service providers
and GPS (Global Positioning System) function which delivers position
information of vehicles (assets) and real time alarm information to
an administrative control centre where will display vehicles/ assets
on a map directly by combining the technology of GIS (Geographic
Information System).

The administrative control centre can monitor and manage any of the
vehicles by tracking their accurate real time positions to improve
the efficiency of fleet management. Moreover, through remote control
of GPRS and wireless information transmission functions, especially
through GSM networks with several wireless docking systems, many
unexpected contingency matters can be dealt with.

02 SYSTEM FUNCTION

GIS Vehicles Monitoring System can achieve vehicle scheduling,
information release, remote control, tracking, as well as long-
distance anti-theft features by interconnecting internet and GPRS,
and combining with GPS's global positioning functions.

You can track real time on google-map, with our gadget, you have no
worry about losing your car now.

03 HOW DOES GPS TRACKING SYSTEM WORK?

GPS & GSM Vehicle tracker is a tracking device with built-in GPS &
GSM modules with compact size. It can transmit longitude & latitude
coordinate to your cell phone by the short message service, then you
can find its location on the Google maps or any other map software.
What is more, you can get your car under control through cell phone
short message.

This technology is a cost effective means of keeping your business
on track and it works using GPS satellite communication with the
receiver unit fitted in your vehicle. GPS tracking systems work by
receiving exact microwave signals from satellites, which can
determine a vehicle's precise location, speed and direction.

Once a GPS tracking system has registered your vehicle via
satellite, its receiver unit can track the vehicle's position as
often as every minute. The co-ordinates picked up by the satellite
are then translated into a longitude & latitude reading of the
vehicle's whereabouts and are then displayed in the form of a map on
a computer screen via the internet.

The exacting nature of the mapping technology means you can assess
the location as well as its speed, location and direction.
Ultimately the collating all of this information gives you greater
opportunity to monitor any vehicle's progress alongside the rest of
your fleet. Once you can oversee how your vehicles are being driven
and how long they are on the road, you will have peace of mind that
the efficient service your business advertises is the service being
provided.

Having access to such a vast scope of status reports on all vehicles
gives you real time access to your fleet's movements so you can
manage your assets remotely and even work out faster routes if there
is a problem or traffic congestion on the road. Using this kind of
tracking system cuts the cost of communication with your drivers and
means you can solve any problem as it occurs without making
expensive phone call to mobiles.

Vehicle tracking systems run on data push technology which means you
can also have real time updates as to any vehicle's status. This
means you can resolve any traffic problem by dispatching a new
vehicle to the client rather than lose out on meeting a deadline
while checking the engine vitals of the delayed vehicle at the same
time.

Using this kind of data push technology as a base for your
business's tracking requirements means you can even see whether a
vehicle is stationary and even if the door has been opened. In terms
of security this feature can be useful in detecting possible
robberies or interference with high value goods. It is also very
helpful in the event of a vehicle breakdown and allows you to
dispatch a new vehicle to the client faster than ever.

Our vehicle tracking systems are also, depending on the model that
you purchased, capable of immobilising the vehicle in case of
noticing over speed, theft of vehicle or any event of misuse of the
said vehicle. Whereby if it is so desired, you can turn of the
engine / ignition and the vehicle will be totally cut off from any
function. Remote security & peace of mind from misuse.

GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Communication and is an open,
digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data
services.
The GSM emerged from the idea of cell-based mobile radio systems at Bell
Laboratories in the early 1970s.
The GSM is the name of a standardization group established in 1982 to
create a common European mobile telephone standard.
The GSM standard is the most widely accepted standard and is
implemented globally.
The GSM is a circuit-switched system that divides each 200kHz channel
into eight 25kHz time-slots. GSM operates in the 900MHz and 1.8GHz
bands in Europe and the 1.9GHz and 850MHz bands in the US.
The GSM is owning a market share of more than 70 percent of the world's
digital cellular subscribers.
The GSM makes use of narrowband Time Division Multiple Access
(TDMA) technique for transmitting signals.
AL-HADEED
Manufacturing & Trading PVT LTD
The GSM was developed using digital technology. It has an ability to carry
64 kbps to 120 Mbps of data rates.
Presently GSM support more than one billion mobile subscribers in more
than 210 countries throughout of the world.
The GSM provides basic to advanced voice and data services including
Roaming service. Roaming is the ability to use your GSM phone number in
another GSM network.
A GSM digitizes and compresses data, then sends it down through a channel with
two other streams of user data, each in its own time slot. It operates at either the
900 MHz or 1,800 MHz frequency band.

GPRS

GPRS stands for General Packet Radio Service and is a second
generation (2G) and third generation (3G)--or sometimes referred to as
inbetween
both
generations,
2.5G--wireless
data
service
that
extends
GSM
data

capabilities

for Internet access, multimedia messaging services, and early
mobile Internet applications via the wireless application protocol (WAP), as
well as other wireless data services.
GPRS was one of the earliest cell phone data access technologies, and
more widespread particularly in Europe and Asia, though it was adopted by
carriers in North America, such as Rogers in Canada and T-Mobile in the US.
2G (second generation) GPRS service had data rates of 56-114
kbit/second--akin to dial-up modem speeds.
GPRS wireless networks were later enhance faster 3G (third generation)
throughput speeds. T-Mobile's EDGE (enhanced Data Rates for Global
Evolution), for example, delivers up to 4 times the GPRS rate.

GPS:
GPS is Global Positioning System which uses satellites to determine your
location on the globe - it's used on things like maps and stuff. GSM is the type of
cellular network it can connect to - GSM is the most popular. Finally GPRS or
General Packet Radio Service is for data or the internet. GPRS is slower than 3G
which is the other type of data service so 3G is more desirable.

How Does It Work?
Three distinct parts make up the Global Positioning System. The first
segment of the system consists of 24 satellites, orbiting 20,000 km above the
Earth in 12-hour circular orbits. This means that it takes each satellite 12 hours to
make a complete circle around the Earth. In order to make sure that they can be
detected from anywhere on the Earth's surface, the satellites are divided into six
groups of four. Each group is assigned a different path to follow. This creates six
orbital planes which completely surround the Earth.

These satellites send radio signals to Earth that contain information about
the satellite. Using GPS ground-based receivers, these signals can be detected and
used to determine the receivers' positions (latitude, longitude, height.) The radio
signals are sent at two different L-band frequencies. L-band refers to a range of
frequencies between 390 and 1550 MHz Within each signal, a coded sequence is
sent. By comparing the received sequence with the original sequence, scientists
can determine how long it takes for the signal to reach the Earth from the
satellite. The signal delay is useful in learning about the Ionosphere and the
Troposphere, two atmospheric layers that surround Earth's surface. A third signal
is also sent to the receivers from the satellite. This signal contains data about the
health and position of the satellite.

The second part of the GPS system is the ground station, comprised of
a receiver and antenna, as well as communication tools to transmit data to the
data center. The omni-directional antenna at each site, acting much like a car
radio antenna, picks up the satellite signals and transmits them to the site
receiver as electric currents. The receiver then separates the signals into different
channels designated for a particular satellite and frequency at a particular time.
Once the signals have been isolated, the receiver can decode them and split them
into individual frequencies. With this information the receiver produces a general
position (latitude, longitude, and height) for the antenna. Later, the data collected
by the receiver can be processed again by scientists to determine different things,
including another set of position coordinates for the same antenna, this time with
millimeter accuracy.
The third part of the system is the data center. The role of the data center
is two fold. It both monitors and controls the global GPS stations, and it uses
automated computer systems to retrieve and analyze data from the receivers at
those stations. Once processed, the data, along with the original raw data, is
made available to scientists around the world for use in a variety of applications.
Since global GPS sites are constructed and monitored by different institutions all
over the world, there are many different data center locations
