Cartridge Gun For fixing gas & water house service lines and cable conduits in brickwork and concrete CHARACTERISTICS resistant to pullout (tensile force 30 KN) gasproof (test pressure 1 bar) resistant to thermal stress (650 C, 30 min at 0.1 bar, medium: air) resistant to cutting after 5 min fully hardened after 30 min watertight in conjunction with CA 32 Sealing Hose SCOPE OF USE CA 31 is used for fixing and sealing gas and water house service lines as well as cable and wall ducts. It is compatible with all usual building materials and plastics (e.g. PS foam/Styropor
) and can later be covered with KSK
products and KMB products. The product is resistant to oil, water and solvents as well as age-proof. If used in conjunction with the CA 32 Sealing Hose, pipes and cables can be fixed and permanently sealed against pressurized water. Tested at the DVGW Research Institute, Karlsruhe/Germany (based on the DVGW test guideline VP 601). CA 32 is suitable for cracks from 8 mm width and pipe diameters of 40 to 90 mm. Use several sealing hoses with larger pipe diameters (see under Application). The CA 32 Sealing Hose expands in the presence of water, thus providing a permanent barrier against pressurized water. The hose achieves a 3-fold volume increase after approx. 20 minutes. SUBSTRATE PREPARATION The substrate must be solid, clean and free of substances which may impair adhesion. APPLICATION Non-pressurized water Insert the house service line with the help of a rubber locating ring, with the plug opening pointing upwards. If the pipe to be fixed is already centrally located in the brickwork, the supplied template "Lost shuttering" can be used to prevent the expansion resin from flowing out. Take the protective cap off the cartridge, screw on the nozzle and load the cartridge into the special cartridge gun CA 33. Squeeze a few cubic centimetres (515) of resin onto paper or sheeting until a uniformly coloured product comes out. Immediately insert the extension tube into the plug opening of the rubber ring or of the "Lost shuttering" template (inter- nal/external). Evenly squeeze the content of the cartridge into the ring gap between brickwork and pipe. The opening on either side of the ring space can also be closed with a PE bead. If the cartridge is not fully emptied, put the cap on again. The cartridge can then be re-used with a new static mixer. Pressurized water In the presence of permanently pressurized water, it is addi- tionally necessary to use the CA 32 Sealing Hose. Wrap the hose around the house service line or pipe (at least 3 C E R E S I T C _ C A 3 1 / 3 2 / 3 3 _ T M _ 1 1 _ 0 9 1 0 1 BAUTECHNI K windings) and press it snugly into the ring space. Outer distance between exterior wall and CA 32 sealing hose: approx. 50 mm. Squeeze CA 31 Expansion Resin into the cavities, using either locating rings or the template "Lost shuttering". The hose must be completely enclosed on either side by the resin. CA 32 can also be used with larger pipe diameters and crack widths when using several sealing hoses. Wrap the hoses in several layers around the pipe. Make sure the mini- mum number of 3 windings is observed and the hoses are pressed snugly into the ring gap. Use CA 31 only at temperatures of +5 C to +30 C. The optimum application temperature is between +15 C and +25 C (product, ambient and pipe/substrate temperature). Do not apply on stagnant water. Moist brickwork does not affect the product performance. Observe the warnings-, safety- and waste disposal advice given in the safety data sheet.
