Mac OS X transformation pack is ready for Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty
Tahr. Credit also goes to bluedxca93 from gnome-look.org who
helped us with fixing several bugs in the themes (checkout his
work, and he also accept donations). Following instructions you
can completely change look of your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS to look like
Mac. I used following stuff in this pack four GTK themes, three
icon themes, boot screen, cursors and LightDM webkit theme (by
wattos). Also Mac cinnamon theme is added to pack. Mac themes
for Linux are almost stopped but we kept this project on our list
from 12.04, and now we have reached to 14.04 with Mac
transformation. Many people look over the internet for pre-
configured Mac look like Macbuntu 14.04/Mac4lin, Mac Ubuntu
theme and so on, but it is good idea to transform it by yourself
because if you want to go back to older look or want to change

you are Lucky cause on some systems it
starts wrong. i recommand you to run sudo
apt-get remove mbuntu-lightdm-v3 . lightdm
webkit doesnt run on every pc. but the rest is
nearly hhardware independent, if the pc is fast
enough.
the lightdm greeter schould be running fine ,
but it doesnt on some pcs. the mac lightdm
theme is good artwork, however not that
stable as it seems to be.

First of all, thanks a lot for this great work! A little
question: I am using MacBuntu on a desktop that
spans two screens. When I lock the desktop, the
primary screen shows the password prompt as it
should, but the secondary screen still shows an
Ubuntu logo in the center. I tried to move
/usr/share/unity-greeter/cof.png and /usr/share/unity-
greeter/ubuntu_badge.png, but this had no effect.
What do I have to do to get rid of the Ubuntu logo?

Does this work for Flashback session ?
I tried and it broke it so badly, that it does not work with
Unity even now after trying to change themes after a
flashback login.
None of the Tweak tools are able to change the
themes anymore. (tried Unity Tweak, Ubuntu Tweak
and also Gnome Tweak Utility). All of them fail in
switching the themes any more.
Also, if you change the Theme from Right Click
Desktop Background properties, I think then also, it
breaks.
anyone out there, Please confirm if you also face the
same issue.
Developers, please confirm if this can be used with
Classic/Flashback sessions.
BTW : Partly works with XFCE too, Good Job so far
other than the glitches mentioned above.

Umair 2 days ago Admin Anand
@Anand
As it is already mentioned above that it is
especially created for Unity. You can try
Gnome Fallback mode (Not flashback), on
your own risk.
I haven't tried on other desktops but on Unity
and Gnome Shell.

Anand 2 days ago Umair
Thanks,
However, it will be really great if it
worked with classic/flashback, I and
probably there are plenty more here
who are driven nuts with the slow and
sluggish non productive workflow of
Unity. and who cannot live without a
panel with windows list.
I have 30 windows open at any given
point in my regular workflow. So I
cannot think of moving from
classic/flashback. This Theme looks
so fresh(great job on this) on the Unity

so fresh(great job on this) on the Unity
and is really lucrative enough for a
change for users like me. Wish if
something can be done to make it work
with the flashback session.
I shall try the fallback within a VM and
see how it goes. if there are any links
which show how to modify the theme
for Flashback, please share.
Please note that on this theme does
have bugs as below.
If I use Unity and without this theme
activated even once, I can switch
across Ambiance/Radiance and
regular ones in both regular Unity and
Flashback easily using Unity Tweak
Tool.
However, once this theme is activated
within flashback session, it breaks
something so badly that even regular
theme change is not possible any more
even in Unity session.
I can demonstrate it through screen
share if required, since I was testing
this within a VM.

In MacOS, when you place a folder in the dock and

sweet splash screen) and then I just get a black
screen with a mouse cursor and I can't do anything.
When I remove the package it works (but has
standard purple-ish greeter, ick!). Anything I can do to
help debug?

hi, the lightdm deb Package seems buggy
.perhaps you can Use an lightdm alternative or
change background.

I did do it using the top answer here:
http://askubuntu.com/questions...
Changing the wallpaper was good
enough for me. The only thing is that
when it starts it's FIRST the purple
wallpaper then quickly flickers to the
one I want.
