Objective:

By the end of the class the student will have understood the first
stanza of the assigned poem and will be able to properly
pronounce the words included in the poem.

Initial Stage:

The Students will be provided asked to read the poem aloud.

Development Stage:

Stage One

The students will listen as the teacher animatedly acts and reads
out Winter.

Stage Two

The students will be explained the difficult words in the poem,
e.g. icicles, nipd, tu-whit etc. and be provided with a word
meaning sheet for the words.

Stage Three

The students will then be prompted to recite the poem in turns,
and the teacher will explain both literally and metaphorically with
an in depth analysis the first stanza of the poem.

Cumulative:

The teacher will conclude the class by assigning a summary on the
given stanza to be checked in the next class.
