Instructions
Plan, design and implement the complex International Travel Agency
BGP/OSPF/EIGRP/IS-IS network as described and shown in the diagram. Implement
the design on the lab set of routers. Verify that all configurations are operational and
functioning according to the guidelines.

1. The San J ose core routers R1 and R2 must run OSPF and be assigned to area 0
2. You have been allocated one class C licence. This is not enough so the internal
network must use Private Addresses. Configure NAT on R1 to translate
between private and public addresses
3. Use VLSM on all serial interfaces
4. This network is to have 4 outer areas. Area 1 will be a totally stubby area.
Area 2 will be an NSSA. Area 3 is an EIGRP network. The final network will
be an IS-IS network
5. Define on each router R1 to R6 2 loopbacks that belong to each area except
for in the core.
6. Summarize all routes from each area into the core. Plan for approximately 30
networks in each area in the diagram with the exception of the core, known as
Area 0
7. Redistribute routing information from OSPF into EIGRP and vice-versa.
8. Redistribute routing information from IS-IS into OSPF and vice versa.
9. This network will be mutlihoned to ISP1A. The primary link will be a T3
connection and a backup T1 link will also be configured. All Traffic outbound
is to use the T3 link. The T1 link should only be used if the T3 link goes
down. Influence ISP1A to use the T3 link for all inbound traffic.
10. All routers at end of Part 1 should be able to ping all other addresses including
200.200.100.1
11. Save your configs. Next week we will add more complexity to the network

Addresses
Please use the following network numbers:

172.16.0.0 OSPF area
172.17.0.0 IS-IS area
172.18.0.0 EIGRP area
202.2.2.0 Officially provided IP network to you
from the ISP. For use in both serial links
to ISP and also for NAT

Part 2

1. Use only one way redistribution of EIGRP into OSPF.

2. EIGRP to learn of other networks through redistributed default route.

3. For the redistributed EIGRP routes into OSPF, set the cost of the redistributed
routes to 100.

4. Use a route map to exclude the redistribution of EIGRP R4 first loopback
network into OSPF

5. Apply a metric of 200 to the summarised ISIS routes

6. Use a distribute list to restrict the R5 first loopback network from being
learned by R2
