I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dahlia Ferlito to the position of HIV Policy
Analyst in the AIDS Coordinators Office (ACO). Dahlia comes to the ACO from Friends
Research Institute, where, since 2011, she coordinated HIV health education and risk reduction
(HERR) programs, street outreach, outpatient treatment programs, Comprehensive Risk
Counseling Services (CRCS), and a social network HIV-testing program.

Prior to her tenure at Friends Research Institute, Dahlia served at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian
Center, where she coordinated activities that promoted the educational and emotional well-being
of LGBT seniors, and as a Youth Clinical Outreach Coordinator at Asian Pacific Health Care
Venture where she coordinated a teen pregnancy and HIV prevention outreach project to reach
at-risk youth and promote access to clinical services.

Currently she serves as a Commissioner on the Los Angeles County HIV Commission, is a
member of the Los Angeles County TLC Workgroup, and is a CAB member of the Center for
HIV Identification, Prevention and Treatment Services.

In her new role, Dahlia will work closely with community and government partners to ensure the
mission of the ACO and the goals outlined in the White Paper are reached and that the City
remains a leader in stemming the spread of HIV.
