Basics of Electrical Products STEP Self-Study Book Revised

The Basics of Electrical Products STEP book (STTM-EP12E-0509) has been revised and is now available via the
Siemens Literature Fulfillment System (https://freeflowweb.xdocs.com/branding/sea/?code=653170009).

This book provides a high-level summary of SE&A products from residential through industrial applications. New
or prospective SE&A personnel and channel partners will find this book especially useful. In addition, this book
contains a 40-page pictorial glossary of electrical terms that is useful to anyone who works with electrical
products.

Channel partners and SE&A personnel can order printed STEP self-study courses in reasonable quantities at no
charge via the Siemens Energy & Automation Literature Fulfillment System web site. Channel partners can
access the Literature Fulfillment System secure web site by clicking on the Product Literature link in the Online
Customer Service System (OCS).

After you login to the Literature Fulfillment System, double click on the Sales & Distributor Training folder to see
the selections listed below. Next, click on the folder for the desired item and preview it. If you wish to order the
item, click on Add to Cart or Add to Cart and Checkout at the bottom of the screen.

The following courses are available online in a format we call quickSTEP at
http://www.sea.siemens.com/step/default.html. This is an Internet site accessible to anyone. Each course has an
optional final exam. Participants who score 70% or better on a final exam can print a course completion certificate
from the web site.

To complete an exam for one of these online courses, select the final exam link from the navigation bar
on the left. The final exam page will appear. Before taking the final exam, it is recommended that you
delete the temporary files on your computer. For most versions of Internet Explorer, you can do this by
selecting Internet Options from the Tools menu and then clicking on the Delete Files button. If you do
not perform this step, you may see a score of 0% after you submit your exam for grading.
