C. All devices shall be provided with plate, blank receptacle, switch, cord hole, etc. as required.
D. All devices shall be shimmed plumb and flush with the finish surface before plates are applied.
E. Multiple devices mounted on one-piece gang plates shall be made by the same manufacturer.
F. Receptacles in new branch circuits shall be 15 or 20 amperes, Arrow Hart 5262 or 5362 series
or equivalent, as shown on the drawings. Receptacles with built-in ground fault protection shall
be Arrow Hart GF5342 series or equivalent. Apartment receptacles shall be residential grade.
Other type receptacles shall be as called for in the drawings.
G. Toggle switches shall be 15 or 20 amperes, Arrow Hart 1891, 1893 or 1991 series or equivalent
as shown on the drawings. Apartment switches shall be residential grade.
H. Device plates shall be provided for each device outlet. Plates in common areas shall be
stainless steel with satin finish. Where gang combinations are required, the combinations are to
be provided as a single plate, No. 302 or 900 Series Arrow Hart. All other plates shall be plastic
or metal as specified by the Architect.
A. The smoke detectors shall be 120V AC with 9V DC battery backup, Fyrnetics Model 1245 or
similar.
C. Smoke detectors in handicapped units shall be in full compliance with ADA requirements and
local authority having jurisdiction. Detectors shall be Visual Alert VA-2000HW or similar.
D. Whenever two or more smoke detectors are located within an apartment unit or common
spaces, they shall be interconnected. All smoke detectors shall be proven operable by test with
smoke after installation. Smoke test shall be witnessed by the Engineer and the Owner's
Representative.
A. Acceptable manufacturers:
1. Arrow Hart
2. Pass & Seymour
3. General Electric
4. Leviton
5. Hubbell
3.01 MISCELLANEOUS:
A. All device-mounting heights shall be as indicated on drawings and must meet the latest ADA
requirements.
B. Coordinate final locations and mounting heights with Architectural plans and elevations. Verify
final locations and mounting heights with Architects.
C. All other devices not specified herein will be as called for in the drawings.
