O-Train Pathway Extension

First section of the O-Train pathway opened in 2013, from the
National Capital Commission Ottawa River Pathway to Young St.
Planning for an upgrade to the pathway from Young St. to Carling
Ave. (with a new signalized crossing of Carling Ave.) is underway
The new crossing will also benefit transit users transferring between
Carling Ave. routes and the O-Train

Prepare functional plan for preferred concept
Assess impacts on all users (pedestrians, cyclists,
vehicle traffic, on-street parking, etc.)

Current Project Highlight
Confederation Blvd. Sustainable Mobility Study
Alternative concepts were developed for improved cycling
links along Wellington St. and Mackenzie Ave., with preferred
alternatives identified.
Multi-Modal Travel impact study underway
A joint National Capital Commission (NCC) / City project, may
include US Embassy for Mackenzie Ave. section.

Sussex Drive Cycling Facility
New bike lanes to be added along Sussex Dr., from St.
Patrick St. to connect with existing lanes at Rideau River
Along with NCC missing link at Rockcliffe lookout, will
provide a continuous 7km cycling facility to Manor Park
community and the Aviation Pathway
