SENIOR SUBCONTRACTS MANAGER, INFRASTRUCTURE AND POWER
KBR are looking for a Senior Construction Subcontracts Manager responsible for
supporting Business Development, Business Acquisition and Execution of all projects in
the IGP EMEA (Infrastructure, Government and Power, Europe Middle East and Africa)
Business Unit. KBR has built a proud history of service to the power, infrastructure,
government and defence sectors by being a reliable contractor delivering full-scope
engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
KBR are looking for an experienced Subcontracts Manager with experience in large
capital construction projects, preferably in either in the Infrastructure or Power
industries. The role is split into different areas. The successful candidate will assist the
Head of Procurement IGP EMEA in managing the current portfolio of projects from a
subcontracts perspective. This may require a direct involvement in the execution of
some projects. In addition the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting
our Business Development efforts within Infrastructure and Power businesses, meeting
with potential clients, providing subcontracts consultancy services when required,
reviewing ITTs, assessing and developing the subcontracting-to-win strategies including
selection of strategic subcontractors at bid stage and assisting with the pricing of the
subcontracted scope.
The position is based on our Leatherhead offices but will require travelling to either
client offices or project execution location around the region.
Key responsibilities:
The role will oversee and performs the full range of subcontract and administration
activities associated with subcontracting work on a project and under general minimal
direction and will be accountable for the performance and results. He / she will manage
the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team
members and will participate in the development of functional strategy. Some or the key
responsibilities include:
Undertake and/or manage others in the following tasks:
Performs full range of procurement and administration activities associated with
subcontracting work
Qualifies suppliers, issues requests for proposals, evaluates proposals,
maintains subcontract files in accordance to established procedures
Oversees and performs the full range of procurement and administration
activities associated with subcontracting work on a project
Interface with and provide guidance to clients in support of the Business
Development team
Assist in estimating the cost of the subcontracted scope for bids

Required:
Degree on a relevant discipline
Experience managing construction subcontracts in capital projects
Experience managing a group of subcontracts engineers on capital projects
Experience tendering and administering subcontracts post award, in particular
managing and negotiating claims
Willingness to travel in the UK and abroad although this is not anticipated to be
more than 10% of the work
Pro-activeness and can-do attitude
Ability to interface with clients and assist our Business Development team
winning new work
Preferable:
Previous experience managing construction subcontracts either on a wind farm,
nuclear or motorways project

The Role

management of project sites.

Main Responsibilities
Management of the commercial aspects of executing the programme
management consultants role on a major programme of infrastructure
development works
Interface with other teams to meet overall program deliverables

The Contracts Analyst, Geo-Market, Oman, is a member of the contracts team who, under the
supervision of the contracts manager, assists in the overall management of all customers
service contracts and well-site sub-contracts. The position is a key development assignment
that should lead to further responsibilities and autonomy within the contracts function and the
Geo-Market team. It is an entry level position for the contracts function and reports directly to
the Geo-Market contracts manager.

Position Description:
We are seeking a Contracts Advisor to join the Employee Relations and Training
Planning Staff (ER&T Planning Staff).

The Contracts Advisors primary role is to advise the ER&T Executive Director and
Assistant to Executive Director, ER&T Department Heads and Department contracting
representatives on all matters relating to the planning, development, approval and
administration of departmental contract actions, and to optimize processes and
procedures. The Contracts Advisor will be required to liaise with other organizations,
including Contracting, Law and Finance Departments as needed.

Duties And Responsibilities:

You will be required to perform the following:
Prepare financial studies that establish technical, financial and/or procedural/
administrative feasibilities for contract services and evaluation of alternatives.
Develop, in conjunction with our Contracting staff, professional analyses and
technical qualification of bidders, develop the scope of work for various contract
services, and develop professional presentations for our Executive Management.
Participate, as a contract proponent representative on the Bid Review Team,

CONTRACT SPECIALIST
Position Description:
A successful candidate for the position of Contract Specialist shall possess a Bachelors
degree, with graduate level work emphasizing law or pre-law studies, business
administration, supply chain management, or engineering, relating to global markets.
This academic preparation shall be complemented with at least 12-15 years of proven
experience with contract formation and administration, supply chain management, and
other procurement experiences, working within large multinational companies and
projects. The candidate will be capable of providing guidance and feedback on the
terms, conditions, and details, of a wide variety of contractual agreements in order to
assure the highest quality and adequacy of the agreement as it relates to the services
provided. A candidates experience should demonstrate abilities to lead, plan, negotiate
and prepare different types of contracts, and procurement of services, in support of the
Saudi Aramco business initiatives as a resident technical expert. Additionally, a
Contract Specialist will complete management studies and analyses of procured
services, or contracting processes, for formal presentation.

Duties And Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Coordinate development of competitively bid contracts including planning,
facilitation and execution to support the objectives of the organization
represented.
Negotiate complex project or service contracts developing strategy, ploys and the
tactics required to protect and support Saudi Aramcos reputation for fair
business practices and ethics.
Visit major contractors worldwide on a regular basis to determine current
workload and capabilities.
Update, as the team leader, and in conjunction with Contracting Services
personnel, the contractor database for major contractors.
Provide technical advice and guidance to Contract Representatives and contract

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will hold a University Degree in Engineering,
Law orb Business Administration. Other degree holders will also be eligible
assuming they have demonstrated ability and experience in the contracting field.
You should have 12 years of experience in contract engineering or contract
procurement.
The successful incumbent must have excellent written English skills and spoken
English is essential. Arabic is desirable.
