Description of function:
Safety start switch The diesel engine electric starting motor (M21) is controlled by start relay
(K44). Relay (K44) can be actuated only via pin +50a of ignition lock (S64)
if the ground speed control lever neutral - safety start switch (Z57) is
actuated and the threshing mechanism (S25) is disengaged.

02a Starting the diesel engine and engine control - for electronic engine control (CAT)
Key to diagram:
a- 20 km/h version
b- 25 km/h version
Description of function:
Operational readiness of After switching on the ignition, the electronic engine control module (A15)
diesel injection receives a plus signal at pin 70.
After the signal is received, the electronic engine control module (A15)
performs a self-test of the engine electronics.
If this self-test is successful, the electronic engine control module (A15)
actuates relay (K43) – the diesel injection is ready for operation.
Cold start When starting the diesel engine, the cold start device (R15) is actuated
automatically by the electronic engine control module (A15).
This actuation depends on external parameters (e.g. outside
temperature).
The associated sensors are included in the engine wiring loom (see
Caterpillar)
If the cold start system is active, this is indicated on the display (P2) (see
also diagram 3).
Engine speed adjustment By actuating switch (S35), the diesel engine speed is changed from idle
speed to operating speed.
During road travel (3rd gear), different engine speed reduction for road
travel switches (Z41) are used, depending on the country specification (20
or. 25 km/h). The engine speed is reduced accordingly.

K2 Horn relay
Description of function:
Coolant overtemperature In case of coolant overtemperature, the coolant temperature actual value
warning function switch (Z34) actuates the horn (H41) via relay (K110).
Air filter maintenance The earth signal of the vacuum switch (Z69) is switched to the air filter
warning maintenance signal light (H46) in the vehicle information unit and in
parallel via the diode PCB (DI) to the warning buzzer relay (K1) (see
diagram 26).
Engine oil pressure warning The earth signal of the oil pressure switch (Z42) is switched to the diesel
engine oil pressure signal light (H50) in the vehicle information unit and in
parallel via the diode PCB (DI) to the warning buzzer relay (K1) (see
diagram 26).
Diagnosis Display (P2) provides information about the operating statuses of the
diesel engine.
Warning information and electronic system errors regarding the diesel
engine are displayed here by means of a flashing code.

Description of function:
Road travel circuit The road travel safety switch (S52) must be locked during road travel in
order to cut the power supply for all electric and hydraulic functions that
are not required.
Master valve In order to be able to build up the necessary working pressure for many
hydraulic controls, the neutral hydraulic circulation must be blocked (see
also the "Hydraulic system" section). In this case, the master valve
solenoid coil (Y77) is actuated directly and in parallel with the function via
the diode PCB (DO).

P3 Speed indicator
Description of function:
Threshing drum variable- The threshing mechanism coupling switch (S25) must be closed to enable
speed drive adjustment of the threshing drum variable-speed drive.
The switch-over switch (S78) must be on Threshing drum display.
This is the only way power is supplied to the threshing drum speed
adjustment switch (S98) that allows increasing (Y20) or reducing the
threshing drum speed.
The master valve (Y77) is also actuated via the diode PCB (DO) and in
parallel with the threshing drum speed adjustment since the threshing drum
speed increase function (Y20) requires that pressure is built up in the system.
Threshing drum / Depending on the position of the switch-over switch (S78), either the
ground speed display threshing drum speed (B11) or the gearbox speed / ground speed (B16) is
displayed (P3).

Performance monitor
Electric System Dominator 140 - 150 TIC
Key to diagram:
Description of function:
Performance monitor The performance monitor function serves for machine adjustment and
monitoring.
A piezo crystal plate is fitted beneath the sensor plate. The sensitivity can
be varied on the amplifier, using a three-way switch, to suit the crop.
When grains fall on the sensor (B31/B32), the vibrations move the
microscopic piezo crystals and deform them. In this process, the crystals
deliver a voltage. This voltage is amplified and makes a number of LEDs
in the indicator light up as a function of the voltage (quantity of grains).
This indicator can be fine-adjusted using the potentiometers R6 / R7.
Minor vibrations caused by straw parts are filtered out.

and activates the horn (H41) via relay (K2).
Warning – Straw collector When the straw collector is open, the straw collector switch (Z17) closes
open and activates warning light (H45).
The buzzer / straw collector signalling device (H44-2) is activated in
parallel with this function via pulse relay (K69).

DO Diode PCB
Z30 Grain tank unloading tube swung out actual value switch
Description of function:
Grain tank swing out circuit With the road travel circuit (K4/87) unlocked, the grain tank unloading
tube swing out switch (S87) allows actuating the grain tank unloading tube
swing out solenoid coil (Y33).
The master valve (Y77) is actuated via the diode PCB (DO) in parallel
with this function because this function require that pressure is built up in
the system.
Grain tank swing in circuit With the road travel circuit (K4/87) unlocked, the grain tank unloading
tube swing in switch (S88) allows actuating the grain tank unloading tube
swing in solenoid coil (Y34).
However, this requires that the mechanical grain tank unloading belt drive
be shut down (Z101 closed).
The master valve (Y77) is actuated via the diode PCB (DO) in parallel
with this function because this function require that pressure is built up in
the system.
When swinging in the unloading tube while grain tank unloading is active
(Z101 open, Z30 closed), the tube will swing in only until (Z30) opens.
This is to protect the grain tank unloading drive.

Front attachment On circuit The front attachment is switched on mechanically (hand lever). The Front
attachment On actual value switch (Z86) here activates the speed
monitoring - see diagram 25.
Reversing circuit The reversing function requires that the front attachment (Z86) be shut
down. After this, the corresponding solenoid coil (Y86) can be actuated
via the Reverse front attachment switch (S57).
The master valve (Y77) is actuated via the diode PCB (DO) in parallel
because this function require that pressure is built up in the system.

Description of function:
Raise/lower reel circuit For the raise/lower reel function, the corresponding solenoid coils
(Y22 / Y23) are directly actuated by the switches (S19 / S20).
The master valve (Y77) is actuated via the diode PCB (DO) in parallel
with the Raise reel solenoid coil (Y22) because this function requires that
pressure is built up in the system.
Reel forward/reverse circuit For the reel forward/reverse function, the corresponding solenoid coils
(Y24 / Y25) are directly actuated by the switches (S21 / S22).
The master valve (Y77) is actuated in parallel via the diode PCB (DO)
since the Reel forward/revrese function requires that pressure be built up
in the system.

Description of function:
Compressor-type air The closed gas-pressure switch (Z21) must supply relay (K68) with earth
conditioner in order to allow the function of the electro-magnetic clutch (Y32). Here the
gas-pressure switch (Z21) monitors both the minimum and the maximum
cooling system pressure (combination switch).
When the fan switch (S28) and the thermostat switch (Z24) are closed,
relay (K68) is actuated and thus, solenoid coil (Y32) is also supplied with
power by relay (K68/87).
If the earth signal fails due to the gas-pressure switch (Z21), the solenoid
coil (Y32) is switched off.
