anticipated All-New Honda City is offcially launched and
available for booking at all our authorised showrooms.
This full model change is packed with smart technologies
and features that will bring new driving experiences in a
compact sedan.
There are more to look forward to if you are looking to
purchase another Honda. Our new service package is one
of the best in the market now with 5 years warranty with
unlimited mileage and a service interval of 10,000km. In
addition, taking care of your Honda has never been easier
as we expand our dealership network nationwide to serve
you better.
We are also increasing our production effciency by opening
the No. 2 line in our Pegoh Plant, Malacca, which will take
us from producing 200 units a day to 400 units, doubling
our effciency and annual production. The No. 2 line is
designed to produce small vehicles and hybrid models,
which a lot of you demand for and we hope to accelerate
our delivery to you.
Being the only manufacturer producing hybrid vehicles
locally is an important milestone for us as we grow our
company as one that society wants to exist. We will
continue to focus our efforts on producing energy effcient
vehicles in line with the governments direction.
Lastly, on behalf of the company, we would like to congratulate
the Honda Malaysia Racing Team for pushing the limits and
clinching their frst Championship medal at the Sepang
1,000km Race last December. Their teamwork and passion
are a true testament of Hondas Challenging Spirit.

VEZEL
Honda showcased advanced customisation on the newly launched
VEZEL with the VEZEL Modulo Concept which is equipped with
accessories from Modulo, Hondas brand of aftermarket parts and
accessories. More eccentric modications were also spotted on
the MUGEN VEZEL Concept, styled with two-toned MUGEN front
and rear spoilers and super metallic side and tail gate spoilers.

Hondas showcase at the TOKYO AUTO SALON 2014 was once
again a visually-stimulating, head-turning event with modied
concepts and advanced vehicle customisation to pique the
interest of tuning enthusiasts and curious automotive fans.
Fresh off the debut of the VEZEL last December, Hondas
newest vehicle that fuses SUV-like stability and coupe-like
styling, the company presented two concept variants that
expressed their unique approach to customisation - the VEZEL
Modulo Concept and MUGEN VEZEL Concept, alongside
distinctively styled vehicles from the N series which comprised of
the N-ONE, N-BOX and N-WGN.
Hondas race cars are also part of the showcase and have
been sharing the spotlight at the booth every year. This years
display includes championship machines like the CR-Z GT and
SF13 used in the Super GT Series and Japanese Championship
Super Formula, and four N-ONE racing machines to be used in
the N-ONE One-make Race this year.
Other accessorised vehicles that fought for attention with their
classier take on styling were the red and black FIT Special
Customise with black wheels, MUGEN FIT RS tted with
customised MUGEN spoilers, LED fog lights and front sports
grille, and the sporty black MUGEN Odyssey Absolute, styled to
enhance its aerodynamics with custom grilles and spoilers.

The Yorii Plant is Hondas newest state-of-the-art facility at
Yorii-machi, Osato-gun, Saitama Japan that combines
high-efciency production technologies with stringent
management of energy to provide products to customers
with speed, affordability and low CO
2
emissions. As Hondas
agship plant in ecologically responsible manufacturing, the
Yorii Plant, which began production in July 2013, also leads
the way in conservation efforts to protect the environment
and coexist with its local community.

starting
point
Hondas first full-featured small
passenger car that sparked
many firsts.
History
With no experience in building small
passenger cars but charged with the
power of dreams after a bold start at the
Formula One, Hondas R&D teams devoted
themselves to the laborious task of building
an original Front Engine, Front Wheel Drive
(FF) luxury sedan with a commercially
viable air-cooled engine. According
to Soichiro Honda, the new machine
represents their rst full-featured export
model. We are condent it will lead us to
an era of free trade, he said.
When the 1300 debuted in October 1968,
its high output and optimal efciency were
widely praised but the market was simply
not ready. The feedback from 1300 owners
later paved the way for water-cooled
engines to be tested and marketed as Life
and Civic.

Honda Malaysia expands its
manufacturing network with
the opening of the No. 2 line
in Malacca.
When Honda Malaysias Pegoh plant rst opened in Alor Gajah,
Malacca, in 2002, it took under one year to construct, marking
it the fastest built Honda plant at that time. Now, 11 years later,
Honda is proud to celebrate another milestone with its No. 2
line, newly launched in January this year to support the growing
Malaysian market. Both No. 1 and No. 2 lines are capable of
producing multiple models by efciently shifting production.
STRENGTHENING OPERATIONS WITH EXPANSION
The expanded production plant includes both No. 1 and No. 2 Complete
Knock Down Unit (CKD) assembly plants, a Constant Velocity Joint
(CVJ) plant and a Complete Built-Up (CBU) pre-delivery operation.
At his opening speech, Mr. Yoichiro Ueno, MD & CEO of
Honda Malaysia, thanked the government for supporting
the industrys advancement in energy efcient vehicles.

First 4S Centre
in Kuantan
Customers in the East Coast region
can now enjoy more accessibility to all
their Hondas needs with the expansion
of Macinda Auto Sdn Bhd, a Honda
dealership in Kuantan, to a fully equipped
4S Centre offering Sales, Service, Spare
Parts and Spray Painting.
A total of RM9 million was invested to
create the new Body and Paint centre for
the convenience of Honda customers in the
East Coast, with RM1.5 million allocated
to enhance the showroom with customer-
focused services like complimentary
computers and Wi-Fi, customer lounge,
childrens play area and shuttle services are
now provided at Macinda Auto. The Body
and Paint facility occupies 6,000 square
metres of built-up land, just beside its
Showroom and Service Centre.
To comply with Hondas eco-conscious
operations, the enhanced showroom and
service centre is designed with energy
saving features like skylights on the
roofs and rainwater recycling used for
car washes and sanitary uses. The new
Body and Paint Centre also facilitates
green after-sales services by using a
revolutionary eco-friendly waterborne
paint that reduces toxic emissions and re
hazard with its waterborne formulation.
The expansion of Macinda Auto shows
demand for Honda vehicle increasing in
that region. According to Mr. Jonathan
Kok, Managing Director of Macinda Auto,
they receive up to 1,800 customers a
month, with 16 bays at the service centre
that efciently caters to 80 cars per day.
The good market acceptance has
contributed to our growth, he said. The
new Body and Paint can accommodate
up to 50 cars at any one time, which will
see us fully engaged in delivering more
satisfying services to our customers.
To get closer to the community, Macinda
Macinda Auto Sdn Bhd is covering new grounds
with the new Body and Paint Centre, establishing
it as the rst full-edged 4S Centre in the region.

The brake uid is designed to work under high pressure and
high temperature to generate heat when braking while providing
corrosion protection around the parts of the braking system.
When the brake uid loses viscosity from overheating and water
contamination, which happens during prolonged or heavy braking,
it spells eventual trouble for the brakes. Changing the brake uid at
recommended service intervals can help maintain its stability and
viscosity to prevent brake failures.
* Most Honda models require brake uid replacement at regular intervals. To
check how often you should replace the brake uid in your Honda, please refer
to the recommended schedule in your owners manual.

The Race Machines
Car 26 and 27 are tuned up Honda Jazz with different suspension
setups. Car 26, piloted by Honda associates, Tengku Ezan Ley and
Mohd. Farriz Fauzy, suffered a punctured tyre in the rst lap but
managed to complete the race with 167 laps. Car 27, piloted by
Aaron Lim and Eddie Lew, won the race after 8 hours and 181 laps.
