Obituaries
Howard Eugene Westover
Howard Eugene Westover, 68, passed away
Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Pocatello, ID.
He was born Jan. 16, 1946, in American
Falls, to Ferrell Eugene and Ethel Taggart
Westover of Aberdeen. He was the fifth of
eight children born in the Westover family.
He attended
school in Ab-
erdeen until
the age of 17,
when he join
the United
States Navy.
He was in the
service of his
country for
4 years, sta-
tioned in Cal-
ifornia.
After his re-
lease from the
Navy he lived
in California until returning to Idaho.
During his life he worked for E&R Trans-
port, Bannock Memorial Hospital as pur-
chasing agent, Case Tractor, Vollmer Well
Drilling and at Pocatello Sod.
Howard was a member of the American
Legion, serving as commander for a number
of years.
He enjoyed car racing and taught himself
to play guitar.
Howard was preceded in death by his par-
ents and a brother, Keith LeVoy Westover.
He is survived by his siblings: Sheila (Garth)
Hanson of Provo, UT, Dora (Lynn) Row-
bury of Aberdeen, Madge (Richard) Lind-
say of Blackfoot, Barry (Dawn) Westover of
Marysville, WA, Carla (Stephen, deceased)

Funeral services were held Monday, June 9
at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. Visitations were one hour prior to the
services. Interment will be in the Aberdeen
Cemetery with Military Honors.
Funeral arrangements are under the direc-
tion of Davis-Rose Mortuary.
David was born to Blaine and Millie Kirby on Janu-
ary 25, 1961. He passed peacefully in his sleep on May
31, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Peter
and Reva Kirby and Don and Letha Mills.
He is survived by Lorrie Thomas, his children Levi
Thomas and Jasmine Kirby, his parents and two sisters
Doni Chris and Deb Hanna, nephews Josh Colungo,
Jordan and Justin Chris, Clay and Randy Hanna.
David enjoyed fishing and hunting, and worked as a
silversmith creating beautiful jewelry.
Graveside service were Monday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m.
in the Aberdeen Cemetery.

First Mennonite Church will
hold Palisades Bible camp
It is camp time again and
the staff at Palisades Men-
nonite Camp located near
Palisades Dam is ready for
this years camps. This years
camp dates are: Junior Youth
Camp, July 13-17 for grades
completed 4-7. The cost is
$80. Senior Youth Camp, July
17-20 for grades 8-12. The
cost is $100 which includes
a float trip down the Snake
River. Camp activities in-
clude: hiking in the Targhee
National Forest, swimming in
the Palisades Reservoir, inspi-
rational campfires, great camp

Air Force basic training
Air Force Airman, Catalina
I. Cazarez, graduated from
basic military training at Joint
Base San Antonio-Lackland,
San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an
intensive, eight-week pro-
gram that included training in
military discipline and stud-
ies, Air Force core values,
physical fitness, and basic
warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic
training earn four credits to-
ward an associate in applied
science degree through the
Community College of the
Air Force.
Cazarez is the daughter
of Ignacio Cazarez of Yuma,
Ariz., the former ward of Ru-
ben and Esther Castanon of
Aberdeen, Idaho, and sister
of Martha Cordova of Phoe-
nix, Ariz. and Brenda Cazarez
of Aberdeen, Idaho. She is a
2013 graduate of Aberdeen
High School, Idaho.

Lunches at the Aberdeen Senior Citizen Center are open to
the public, regardless of age. Lunch is served each Tuesday
and Friday at noon.
Lunch is also available Monday through Friday. Serving corn
dogs, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, finger steaks, fish
sandwiches, chicken strips, popcorn shrimp, fries and chef
salad.

Football team camp announced
The Aberdeen High School football coaches will hold a
team camp on July 21-24 for high school students who wish
to play football. The times have yet to be decided and more
information will be coming. Put it on your calendars.
