Lesson Idea
Students will create a one-page outline for the foundation of a memo that predicts what classroom
technology will be like in 75 years. Students will utilize the multi-level list function to organize their
outlines and will include multiple details for each paragraph. Student products include the following:
MS Word
Grade Level
With some guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by
planning, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach.

Write a one-page outline as a baseline for a story that predicts what classroom technology will be like in
75 years.
Problem Statement
The U.S. Office of Science and Technology is searching for researchers to aid them in a long-term
planning project. They require researchers to provide them with information on what the next 75 years
will bring to the landscape of education. They have asked for a one-page memo which outlines
technologys role in the classroom in the future. Your job is to create an outline in MS Word using
multilevel lists, which will guide your paper as you write it.
Students success will be graded on proper grammar and spelling, correct usage of the multilevel list,
and proper length of assignment (one full page, double-spaced). Three levels of quality will be below
proficiency, proficient, and advanced.
