Reliability Networking
Basic Concept
If the physical interface work abnormally, all of the service
connect to this equipment fail. The resolution is the reliability
networking which can bind two physical interfaces together with
one Eth_trunk, the two interface work in active and standby
mode, if the active one failed, system can switch to the standby
interface
At most, one Eth_trunk can bind with 16 physical interfaces, but
for the reliability networking, it is recommended to bind only two
physical interfaces with one trunk
One Eth_trunk has only one IP address, all of the interface bind
with the Eth_trunk has the same IP
Eth_trunk is identified by the trunk id which is from 0~15
Eth_trunk is a logical concept
Page52 Copyright 2006 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. All rights reserved.
Reliability Networking
Step (just give the interface connect to SGSN)
Create the Eth_trunk logical interface
ADD INTF: INTFN = "Eth-Trunk0";
Active this Eth_trunk
ACT INTF: INTFN = "Eth-Trunk0";
Configure the IP address of this Eth_trunk
ADD IP: INTFN = "Eth-Trunk0", IPADDR = "10.220.154.2",MASK =
"255.255.255.0";
Set the Eth_trunk interface work in active and standby mode,
otherwise, all of the interface work in load sharing mode
SET TRKHAMODE: INTFN="eth-trunk0";
Page53 Copyright 2006 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. All rights reserved.
Reliability Networking
Create the ethernet1/0/0 interface that should bind with the
Eth_trunk0
ADD INTF: INTFN = Ethernet1/0/0";
ACT INTF: INTFN = Ethernet1/0/0";
Create the ethernet2/0/0 interface that should bind with the
Eth_trunk0
ADD INTF: INTFN = Ethernet2/0/0";
ACT INTF: INTFN = Ethernet2/0/0";
Bind the two physical interface with this trunk
ADD ETHTRK: INTFN = "Ethernet1/0/0", TRKID = 0;

The different APN can not has the same address pool, if the APN bind
with different VPNI, they are allowed to has the same address pool
Example:
SET POOL: APN=huawei.com, PID=0, SID=0, IP=10.168.10.0",
LEN=100;
LST POOL: APN=huawei.com";
RMV POOL: APN=huawei.com", PID=0, SID=0;

it need authentication, then we must configure the authentication
information
Step:
Configure the AAA server IP
SET AUTH: APN="huawei.com", VPNSW=NO,
MIP="10.99.77.111",BIP="10.99.77.112";
Configure the AAA server security key
SET AUTHSEC: APN="huawei.com", MSEC="chinahuawei",
BSEC="huaweichina";
Configure the default user name and password for this APN

DNS
SET DNS
Configure the DNS information related to a specific APN
Configure DNS information after the APN configuration
Example:
SET DNS: APN=huawei.com", SW=LOCAL, MDNSIP="1.1.1.1",
BDNSIP="1.1.1.2";
LST DNS: APN=huawei.com;
RMV DNS: APN=huawei.com";
Page61 Copyright 2006 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. All rights reserved.
DNS
SET DEFDNS
Configure the default DNS information
Default DNS is a global information, any APNs can not get DNS
will use this DNS IP
Example:
SET DEFDNS: SW=LOCAL, MDNSIP="1.1.1.1", BDNSIP="1.1.1.2";

GRE VPN Configuration
Concept
VPN instance
It needs to create a VPN instance before using GRE, there are
three parameters bind with this instance
VPN instance name (APN, interface, tunnel), G interface and Gi
interface may be included in the interface according to the
requirement
APN is used to judge the route of the uplink data package;
G interface is used to judge the route of the downlink data package
Gi interface is used between GGSN and AAA server
Tunnel is used to encapsulate the subscribers data package

GRE VPN Configuration
Between different APN, APN and global route is
separate entirely, they are sightless with each other

GRE VPN Configuration
Create GRE tunnel
Create virtual tunnel interface
ADD INTF: INTFN="tunnel1/0/0";
Set encapsulation mode of packets on Tunnel interface
SET TUNNELPROT: INTFN="tunnel1/0/0", PROTN=GRE;
Specify source addresses for a Tunnel
SET TUNNELSRC: INTFN="tunnel1/0/0", OP=INTF,
SRCINTFN="ethernet1/0/0";
Specify destination addresses for a Tunnel
SET TUNNELDES: INTFN=tunnel1/0/0, DESIP=211.139.1.1;
Configure network address
If static route is next hop mode, then configuring network address
here to be the next hop of GRE route. Otherwise, no more
configuration is needed here

GRE VPN Configuration
APN binding VPN instance
Set APN name, and bind with a VPN instance
SET APN: APN="cmwap", SM=NO, ACCESS=NT,
ADDRMODE=LOCAL, VPNI="cmwap";
All of the activated data package whose APN is cmwap will be bind
with the cmwap VPN

G-CDR and Partial CDR
In one PDP activate procedure, one entire CDR will be generated,
but for some reasons, the CDR is composed of several partial
CDRs, then the consolidation of partial CDRs is accomplish by CG
or BS
G-CDR closed reason:
termination of PDP context
any abnormal release
Note: At present, CDR closure result from abnormal interruption is looked as
normal active pause.
partial G-CDR generated reason:
data volume limit
time (duration) limit
maximum number of charging condition changes
management intervention
SGSN switch
The above restriction can be configured

Other Billing Methods
Besides G-CDR, GGSN supports radius charging, content
charging and prepaid
Radius charging
In active procedure, GGSN will send a charging request package to
Radius, active succeed after its response, service is running, GGSN
must inform Radius often of data package usage
Content charging
Its analyze the subscribers service IP package deeply to master
usage of the subscriber on different service. Billing center shall
charge according to different service
Prepaid
In active procedure, GGSN send service usage to SCP to charging
