SCHOOL OF CHESS TACTICS - volume 1 (introduction and explanation written by Fide Master Paul Dobrinetsky) Dear friends! I would like to invite you into the Fairyland of Chess Kingdom! The school of chess tactics will help you to increase your level of chess playing. The more (the more efficient) you work the better results you obtain! If you have solved correctly: 100 puzzles - your tactical chess rating is 1200 (5 category) 200 puzzles - your tactical chess rating is 1400 (4 category) 400 puzzles - your tactical chess rating is 1600 (3 category) 600 puzzles - your tactical chess rating is 1800 (2"4 category) All the positions are single tasks and it is always white to move. Your task is to find the best solution - no matter if it is the mating final (attack) or gaining the decisive advantage. The author recommends solving systematically at least 6-12 chess puzzles. This way you can improve your tactical vision as much as calculation of variations! These skills should enable you play better and outplay your opponents with the use of tactics! Be careful and try to take advantage every time your opponent will give you the opportunity to do so! If you solve at least 100 (out of 102) chess puzzles correctly - it means you have won (passed) the pawn competition! If you solve 200 (out of 210) puzzles = you have won (passed) the bishop and knight competition, And finally if you solve 300 (out of 318) puzzles - you have won (passed) the rook competition!
