Buffy slayer farce christianity and arts in the orthodox church talk

There are no christian themes in buffy slayer film as proposed by the speaker.
One can not discount the fact that every scene used by the speaker was sequentially constructing a
non christian view of angels and demons.
Yet he attempted to reconcile this feature with the st basil analogy of the bee to the honey which
was specific to a cultural and historical idiom, that dealt with the reception of non christian people,
who mysteriously received forms and fragments of revelation from christianity even before its time
and does not correlate and qualify in any form or fashion christian themes or metaphors used to
direct the viewer to the message of christ or the reality of the battle of angels and demons.
Instead we find that the scene and content of the film is either constructed creatively without the
guidance to purposeful input of christian themes to convey its inherent message.
The fact that buffy's power is rooted in evil when she fell from heaven and therefore can still be a
force for good is almost or can be construed as an attempt to purposefully distort christian narratives
and themes in perhaps the hope to create a good that is not associated with god but with the occult
and the new age of which these types of films are usually associated with.
uffy shows her true self as not an angel, but as a demon since she is fallen and decided to adopt
the cloak of good, this cloak of good is the standard the world accords as good which are human
rights akin to it is a womans right to abort since it is her body and this is good and hurting the
mothers choose is not freedom and liberty and therefore bad as they construe.
The speaker was general and never specific to e!plain or to demonstrate how to reconcile st basil's
analogy to contemporary media which bases many of its creative endeavors around occultist and
new age themes.
Instead of perhaps demonstrating how the myth as the dialogue between author lord of the rings and
c" lewis show is a reality within the deep abyss of a persons consciousness and how story creative
narratives are usually constructed to reflect the deep reality our conscious knows that e!ists with the
battle of the demons and angels and showing that in the instance of buffy, the author decided to
choose evil over good, was not a priority or a point of fi!ture for the speaker of this talk, whom I
forgot his name.
#lowly the boundaries of theosophy which is blatant satanism and pre pagan themes will merge to
falsely demonstrate that they are the same thing.
$cumenism therefore blinds the person to folly and error and since they pedal stool reason above
god, reason and logic is therefore sensical for them when is delineated and marginalised to human
categories of political acceptance of which the fallen world is victim.
#t basil intention is about taking the good from the bad, but I find it hard to believe that st basil
would accept modern media narratives like buffy as qualifying as such, since the good is
overshadowed by the bad and therefore the bad becomes the premise or the barrier of resistance and
key to colour code and interpret the rest of the content of the film that is perceived as good.
%i!ing truth with lies make the content dangerous, so did st basil advocate that it is ok to e!tract the
good from the bad even to the point where the bad saturates and inundates it and redefines the good
to non christian parallels and paradigms. Obviously &ot..
The reason was because in pre christian greece, god worked the periphery to enlighten the gentiles
who were to be chosen to recognise the redeemer and christ and therefore various pagan sub"ect
matter pointed a line to this coming new paradigm. The redeemer as st nektarios points out was the
e!pectation of nations, the hope and saviour to come. I do not infer all of ancient greek society was
in this co'y comfort of genuinely seeking god.
This was an age before the enlightenment where reason and truth was defined outside of our lord
and when greeks knew that the filter of reason was dependent on our passions, our pathos affected
our ability to discern truth and reason.
%ario pointed to themes of the east and divinisation was accepted within the tradition of st basil
dialogue and narratives with the reception of ancient greek literature to the youth.
Obviously misled and deceived and cannot identify the fundamental tenet of st basil engagement
revolved around the premise of reason, virtue and truth coupled with the nature of things.
(or the greek who loved nature, beauty and form as proof there was a god, there are no conflict
between reason and god unlike the gnostic witch hunting medieval west that subordinated the
dualistic body for the spirit.
To the love of nature as self sustaining there is therefore a sustainer a source and a creator who is
intelligent and creates form, beauty and the fruits and medicine of gods pharmacy that sustains us.
)ncient greek literature cited by st basil as acceptable never attempted to blatantly align itself with
evil forces contrary to this revelation that was to come and redeem the world.
)ncient greeks in general, understood philosophy as discernment between good as opposed to evil,
they understood that virtue and reason was not against nature of which god made good for our
sustainence so therefore this pleofora of literature underpinned and pointed to a line to a paradigm
of good or underlined a message.,
Themes of demi gods and other myths was not used in a deliberate sense to show the power of evil
over good like buffy the vampire slayer which mi!es this good with evil in a christian sense.
*hristianity is yet to be revealed to the greeks and all they had were forms and foreshadowing ques
that prepared the ancient greeks for christs reception.
The creators of buffy slayer know the bibilcal narrative well and rather choose not to symbolise
christ in the proper conte!t as the author of lords of rings may have done, although in my opinion
not well and decided to purposefully use biblical themes and make out that this bad or fallen angel
can have a measure of good within themselves and independent of god.
(or me this movie seeks to have love for the rebellion of satan and satan claims a higher good as the
vampire slayer did since sympathy for the devil is played out since his measure of good is now the
standard by which we measure what is good as symbolised by buffy slayer. This motiff in the film is
not discreet or indirect by easily inferred in engaging the content of the film
The use of the cross is merely an instrument that has been recycled from vampire mythical lore
that is associated with these themes. The films makers did not purposely try to demonstrate in any
biblical sense a good versus evil in a true christian sense.
The use of sorcery, homose!uality and other vices show the attempt of the author to craftily
redefine evil motiffs as good since they play with this paradigm of good versus evil, but the
question is presented, is this christian.
)bsolutely not++++ good and bad angels are akin to kabalah thought that identifies good and bad
angels that can be evoked. #o how come this theme was not e!posed by these pseudo christian
presenters.
The presenter never clearly identified or pointed to the viewer what was good in the film and what
was bad, which is also significant since he is forcing the viewer to identify all these themes that are
more directed to kabbalah as being in fact christian. Instead of pointing the point of divergence and
going back to the c" lewis mythology theme is a reflection of our deepest psychy, he literally
allowed the viewer to interpret this material as a christian theme and foresight.
#t basil's rule of criteria was virtue and the unseen treasures of a good that was in complete parallel
to christian ideas of virtue and good as bearing unseen fruits within themselves.
If one were to translate and deduce the good underpinning message of buffy there are no parralels
present .
