What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans
8:31
Read: James 4:5-8
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace
unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from
you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and
purify your hearts, ye double minded.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : AMOS 1:1-5:17 and PSALM 83
Message
Apart from Christ being in you, another dimension of Christ in relation to you is Christ
being for you. The phrase for you in this context signifies approval of or support for you.
The implication of Christ for you is encapsulated in Romans 8:31: What shall we then say
to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
I pray that God will give you the revelation of this in your spirit. With Christ for you, you
become an unstoppable juggernaut. Every opposition against your forward movement is
bulldozed away. It is a great thing when God is for you because anyone trying to curse you
would merely be wasting his time. We see this manifested in the life of the children of Israel
on their way to the Promised Land. Because God was for them, all attempts to curse them
failed. In opposition to their onward journey to the Promised Land, Balak the king of Moab
hired Balaam a prophet, to curse them. God dealt with the prophet by warning him against
his mission through the donkey that spoke like a man. Besides this, three consecutive times,
at the point of pronouncing curses, God intervened and in fact made Balaam to pronounce
blessings upon Gods people.
How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath
not defied? Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination
against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God
wrought!
Numbers 23:8&23
How then do you obtain His support? It is by drawing near to Him. James 4:8 says if you
draw near to God, He would also draw near to you. This means that you dont serve Him only
with the mouth, but also with your heart. Drawing close to God means spending quality time
in personal fellowship with Him. Fellowshipping with Him means you talk to Him and He
talks back to you. Study how a man and woman in courtship get close to each other and apply
this to your relationship with God. They talk to each other, they share moments of ups and
downs together, they parade each other around, they express their feelings of love and
dissatisfaction in songs, poems and letters, they study each others character and they shed
relationships not approved of by their partner and several other things. If you apply this
principle to your relationship with God, you will be shocked at how real He will become and
for sure He will stand up in your defence just like a man will stand up for his woman if
confronted by danger while in courtship.

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with

Read: Exodus 3:11-12
11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should
bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee;
and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the
people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : AMOS 5:18-9:15 and PSALM 84
Message
No man is an island. At one point or the other, you would have done something in partnership
with somebody. More often than not, the result of such synergy is geometrically higher than
if you go it all alone. Now imagine if your partner is Jesus. This is what Christ with you is
all about. It means a partnership between you and Jesus. It indicates you and Jesus doing
things together. There are many things for which you need God to be with you, both with
respect to things of this world and things of eternal value. If God is with you, there is nothing
you cannot achieve.
In the case of Moses, he had every reason to be apprehensive of the idea of having to go back
to Egypt to set the people of Israel free from bondage. Obviously, Egypt was a powerful
nation in those days. However, he did not have to deliver Israel all by himself, for God had
said to him: Certainly I will be with thee (Exodus 3:12). In that project of yours, in that
good but difficult step you want to take, in that God-glorifying but capital-intensive project
that you would like to embark upon, God will be with you. Is there a call of God on your life
for an assignment which you consider difficult, fearsome, dangerous or too big for little you?
Dont be afraid! All you need is Gods assurance that He will be with you, and it shall be
done. Just like He was with those before you, God with you in that assignment shall also be
to your honour and greatness. Joshua the servant of Moses, who took over the mantle of
leadership from Moses, was too little in his own eyes to step into his masters shoes. Yet all
that God gave him was the assurance that He would be with him (Joshua 1:5).
The Lord Jesus Christ while here on earth was doing wonders, healing the sick, delivering the
oppressed, all because God (His Father) was with Him (Acts 10:38). Let God be with you in
your work, family and business. There is however no way God can be with you if your ways
do not align with His ways. How can God be with you in your business when you do not
follow his ordinance of paying tithes? Christ is ready and more than willing to be your
partner but His question to you is this:
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Amos 3:3
Prayer Point
Father, help me to recognise anything in my attitude, habits and relationships that would not
allow me to enjoy your abiding presence. Let the fire of your word purify me of them.

Read: Romans 8:13-16
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds
of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of
God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the
Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with
our spirit, that we are the children of God:
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : OBADIAH 1, JONAH 1-4 and PSALM 85
Message
When the Israelites left Egypt for the Promised Land, God chose their route and led them
through the wilderness. He did this by the pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night. In
spite of their number, the terrible conditions of the wilderness and the opposition of their
enemies including giants, they got to their destination by Gods guidance. Praise God! The
term Christ before you talks about Christ guiding and leading you. The Bible makes it clear
that:
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14
Beloved, the world is a wilderness and we are on our way to heaven. There are alternate
routes in the form of choices and decisions for moving on in life. As a child of God who has a
destination, you cannot afford to move on just by any route. You cannot make choices being
led by the flesh, by your sight, by your feelings or even just by your mere senses (Proverbs
3:5-7). Remember, not all that glitters is gold. Your adversary, the devil is prowling, seeking
a careless and straying child of God to devour (1 Peter 5:8). In Jesus Name, you will not fall
prey to him. Many young Christian men and women have run into wrong marital
relationships because they allowed themselves to be led by other things apart from God, their
Father.
Psalm 114:1-7 reveals that nothing can stand before the presence of our God, be it sea,
mountain or hills. With Christ going before you, obstacles will clear out of your way because
of the awesome power of His presence. Enemies pitching battles against you also get crushed
in the presence of Jehovah, the Man of War (Deuteronomy 1:30). Now, how do you get Him
to lead you? Psalm 25:9 says: The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he
teach his way.
The meek is the one who has the power and ability to fight but refuses to. He is not just
gentle, he has all it takes to hit back and to crush, but he refuses to. He is like a tamed horse.
The meek is submissive. Do you want to enjoy divine leading so that God can go before you?
Then, be prepared to be meek.
Prayer Point:
Father, please in any area I have jumped ahead of you to make choices outside of your
leading, be merciful and forgive me. Whatsoever pain such action has brought to my life,
remove and make me whole in Jesus Name.

Read: Mark 16:15-20
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they
shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly
thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on
the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working
with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : MICAH 1 4 and PSALM 86
Message
The confidence a man exudes depends on the power backing him up. As a child of God, all
that Christ won back from the devil was for you and not for Himself. Our imagination cannot
fathom the scope of His power. The good news is that he has granted you the authority to
exercise this power. Ephesians 1:19-22 perfectly reveals this truth:
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the
working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the
dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and
power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but
also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the
head over all things to the church,
The power described in the above scripture is what backs up your authority in this life. This is
what Christ behind you means. It means the power that holds the universe is backing you
up. It is not to you that situations and people will submit, but to the power behind you.
The power of Jesus, grants you the authority to do the following:
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they
shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing,
it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17
The awesome events enumerated above, are to happen through the believer by the backing of
Jesus. Some years ago, there was this man who was loaded with demons. He was brought for
prayers to be delivered. While praying for him, he would get up. When I commanded him to
sit down, he then responded, In whose name, I said In Jesus Name. He said that is
different, and sat down quietly. That was a manifestation of Christ behind me. How many
articles of this promise are reality in your life and ministry? For Christ to be behind you, you
have to walk before him. In Genesis 17:1, God told Abraham to walk before Him and be
perfect; therefore, if you will enjoy the backing of Jesus, you are to stay in front of Him and
be careful to walk on in perfection as He takes interest in watching you. His grace is
sufficient for you.
Action Point
Evaluate the level of fulfilment of Mark 16:17-18 in your life and pray to God concerning
what part of it is not yet manifesting.

Matthew 7:7
Read:
Matthew 6:5-13
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray
standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men.
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to
thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall
be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of,
before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy
name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : GENESIS 11:10-14:24 and PSALM 101
Message
Prayer is talking to Jesus. There is nothing as sweet as talking to Jesus because the Most High
loves to hear our voices. Prayer is the soul of man talking to God. It is worship addressed to
God the Father, in the Name of God the Son, through the power of God the Holy Spirit. John
14:13 says:
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in
the Son.
Prayer consists of at least four parts: these are adoration, confession, thanksgiving and
supplication. Adoration denotes praises and worship of God for who God is. For example
God is good, merciful, powerful and just. When you praise God for who He is, rather than for
what He has done for you, it is true worship (Psalm, 95:6-7). The second part is confession or
repentance from every known sin (Psalm 32:5). This will be followed by washing in the
blood of Jesus Christ. If you are sanctified and have no sin to confess, wash in the blood all
the same; you cannot be too clean. Thanksgiving is the third division of prayer. Be thankful
for anything and everything that God has done (Philippians 4:6). The fourth division is
supplication. It is at this juncture that intercession, requests, petitions and desires are
addressed to God in the Name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit (1 Timothy 2:1).
God answers prayers and you can pray anywhere (1 Timothy 2:8). Just as you can pray
anywhere, you can also pray at anytime. You should pray daily (Psalm 86:3), and you should
pray always (Luke 18:1). You can take any posture in prayer. It is not only when you are on
your knees with your eyes closed that you can pray. You can pray as you drive to work, while
at work or while resting. A question many people ask is, What am I to pray for? Many
people cannot pray for long because their prayer is selfish, that is, they pray only for
themselves. Prayers should not be selfish. You can pray for the sick (James 5:13-16). You
can pray for all men: for the President, Governors, Pastors, Church Workers, the children, the
youths and the elders (1 Timothy 2:1-4). You should also pray for your enemies (Matthew
5:44). Pray for wisdom and understanding (1 Kings 3:9). Pray for personal safety and for the
safety of others (John 17:15); pray for the second coming of Christ, that you may be able to
do the will of the Lord. You can also include specific individual requests. By following these
guidelines, you will be able to pray without ceasing. We should be guided by the Holy Spirit
in our prayers (Romans 8:26-27). You must pray with humility and faith
Action Point:Using the suggested prayer points, pray persistently for thirty minutes.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : GENESIS 42 43 and PSALM 107:10-22
Message
A miracle is an act or event which does not follow the known laws of nature. It simply means
a higher law overruling a lower law. The law of the Spirit is higher than natural laws. A
miracle involves the suspension of physical laws by divine intervention. It happens when God
uses the spiritual law to set aside physical laws. In the first place, God is the one that ordained
the natural and physical laws to govern the universe, he can choose to suspend them if He so
wishes.
There are various categories of miracles. I pray that you will receive yours today in Jesus
Name. In 1 Kings 17:10-16, we come across the miracle of supernatural supply manifested in
the life of a widow and her child. In 1 Kings 17:17-22, we have the miracle of the dead
coming back to life. I command that everything dead in your life, family, business and
ministry should resurrect now in Jesus Name. In Mark 4:35-39, we have a miracle where the
forces of nature were overruled. Are you suffering from any natural ailment? Are you living
in fear or being oppressed by forces of nature? Receive a miracle that overrules nature in
Jesus Name. There are also unusual or special miracles. These are unique miracles. An
example is the miracle of the conception of Christ. The greatest of all miracles, however, is
the miracle of salvation (John 3:7). It takes a miracle to be born-again. It is by grace that we
are saved. It is not as a result of our works of righteousness (Ephesians 2:8-9). Christ
specialises in miracles. One of his names is Miracle. While on earth, He performed more
miracles than any other human being. He healed the sick, cleansed lepers, opened the eyes of
the blind, opened the ears of the deaf, made the cripple to walk and He raised the dead. He
also saved sinners, gladdened the hearts of saints and went about doing good. It is not enough
to know about miracles. Miracles can be experienced and enjoyed by you. You are a
candidate for miracles. There are at least seven steps to receiving a miracle. The first step to
receiving your miracle is to be reconciled to God. Confess your sins and iniquities to God and
repent. Second, desire a miracle (Mark 8:22-24). Third conceive your miracle. Be specific
about your miracle. Imagine your miracle. Dream your miracle. Get a clear picture of what
you really want from God (Mark 10:48-52). Additionally, you should expect your miracle.
Labour for your miracle by asking God for it and by worshipping and acknowledging God for
it. Then, of course, receive your miracles and go ahead to thank God for the miracles you
have received from Him.
Action Point:
Worship God for fifteen minutes and believe Him for your miracles today.

Hebrews 11 : 1.
READ : GENESIS 12 : 1 4.
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred,
and from thy fathers house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and
thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram
was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : EZEKIEL 46 : 19 48 : 35; PSALM 77 : 11 20.
The Lord Almighty is calling us to a life of faith in Him. A life of faith involves a substantial
walk with God with evidential trust and commitment to Him. Some people claim to have
faith, but in the real sense of it, they do not. The heroes of faith did substantial things in their
walk with God. For example, the Bible in Hebrews 11 : 8 says :
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive
for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Though he did not know where he was going, he trusted the One who called him out that He
would take care of him. He lived as a patriarch while he was still childless. No wonder God
loved Him and gave him an everlasting covenant of blessing. There are many ways in which
we can honour God, but the best way is by our faith in Him. In fact, His heart is filled with
joy when He sees His human creation trust Him for everything. This is why the Bible in
Hebrews 11 : 6 says :
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that
he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Jesus Christ demanded faith from His disciples as a requirement for experiencing the
supernatural. He said this to them in Mark 11 : 22b 23 :
Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall
believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he
saith.
This implies that our faith must not be misguided; rather, it must be in the God that never
fails. As we continue in our journey of life, only faith can make us land safely at the glorious
destination. Now what is faith? In the context of todays Bible reading, simply put, faith is
accepting the verdict of God in all situations. Faith is not praying contrary to the perfect will
of God. Faith is saying Yes, Lord! Many people settle for what is not the perfect will of
God and later regret their desperation. It is faith when what we believe for tallies with Gods
intention. We must learn to identify the will of God as we exercise our faith, because faith
that is outside the will of God is nothing but magic. Jesus Christ exercised His faith in the
will of His Father when He prayed in Luke 22 : 42. My prayer is that God will give you the
God-kind of faith in Jesus Name.
PRAYER POINT :
Father, reveal your will in all situations of my life in Jesus Name.

MEMORISE : God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in
truth. John 4 : 24.
READ : JOHN 4 : 21 24.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this
mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in
spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : EZEKIEL 21 22; PSALM 70.
Today you will observe with dismay how some people counterfeit the true worship of God in
the name of religion. The reason for this phenomenon is not farfetched. They worship in the
flesh and not in the spirit. This is the reason Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3 : 5b that :
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot
enter into the kingdom of God.
This also was the message of Jesus Christ to the religiously minded people of His days, as
well as the message of the early apostles. They played down the paraphernalia of religious
practices that did not connote spiritualism. They worshipped in truth and in spirit. How can
we put an end to carnal religiosity in our churches today? The solution is simple: we must go
back to the basics of Christian teaching as outlined in Acts 2 : 37 38 :
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the
rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent,
and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
It is a pity that people do not know or have forgotten that genuine repentance is the
foundation of the faith that saves. Covering up our past misdeeds without repentance is a
waste of time. The Holy Spirit emphasises this truth through Apostle John in 1 John 1 : 6 9
:
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the
truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The problem with many 21st century so-called Christian worshippers is that they no longer
admit sin to be sin; they trivialise sin and regard it as unavoidable mistakes, hence, they
neither confess it as sin nor strive to live above it with the power of the Holy Ghost. This
explains the carnal worship and plenty-rascality in the name of Pentecostalism that we
observe in some of our churches. Remember the works of the flesh in Galatians 5 : 19 21.
These are the things we must not entangle ourselves with if we would worship God in spirit
and in truth. You must be born of the Spirit and live a life of change for acceptable worship in
the sight of God.
ACTION POINT :
Read Galatians 5 : 19 23, identify the works of the flesh still manifesting in your life and
pray for power to live above them.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : EZEKIEL 28:1-30:19 and PSALM 72
Message
The Holy Spirit inspired men to write accounts of some of their experiences and of events
that occurred in time past for a reason. The reason He did this is stated in 1 Corinthians
10:11:
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our
admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
It is however unfortunate that those things written as examples to make us wiser are often not
adhered to. The Psalmist discovered something fundamental to being victorious in life which
is the power of prayer. Not only the power of prayer but also the right direction we should
channel our prayers to. In 2 Kings 6:26-27, we read about a woman who misdirected her
prayer to the king of Israel when she was in distress:
And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him,
saying, Help, my lord, O king. And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I
help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress?
The Psalmist got it right when he said: unto thee will I pray. In Luke 18:1-8, we see a clear
picture of why we should direct our prayers to God. It took the judge an unknown number of
days, months or even years, to heed the request of this helpless widow. He decided to help the
woman only because she did not relent. Jesus Christ said:
Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day
and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them
speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
An often overlooked truth in this parable is that, if this woman had directed her prayers to
God, she would not have gone through the pain of insensitivity she suffered.
Beloved of the Lord, to whom are you directing your prayers? When you discuss your
problems with people as though they have the solution, you are making a god out of them.
This is why you meet with disappointment more often than not. The Bible placed a curse on
people who put their trust in men and whose hearts have strayed from God in Jeremiah 17:5:
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and
whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Let us put our trust in the Almighty God who gives liberally without upbraiding (James 1:5).
Action Point:
From now on, redirect your prayers from men to God. You will not be disappointed.
