Once a group of 500 people were attending a seminar.

Suddenly the
speaker stopped and decided to do a group activity. He started giving each
person a balloon. Each person was then asked to write their name on it
using a marker pen. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another
room.

The people were then let into that room and asked to find the balloon which
had their name written on it within 5 minutes. Everyone was frantically
searching for their name, colliding with each other, pushing around others
and there was utter chaos.

At the end of 5 minutes no one could find their own balloon.
Then, the speaker asked each person to randomly collect a balloon and
give it to the person whose name was written on it. Within minutes
everyone had their own balloon.

The speaker then began, "This is happening in our lives. Everyone is
frantically looking for happiness all around, not knowing where it is.

Our happiness lies in the happiness of other people. Give them their
happiness; you will get your own happiness. And this is the purpose of
human life...the pursuit of happiness."
This is amazing! -DJ Conrad
"I WISH YOU ENOUGH"
Recently, I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport as the
daughter's departure had been announced. Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the
mother said:
"I love you and I wish you enough."
The daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever
needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom." They kissed and the daughter left.
The mother walked over to the window where I sat. Standing there, I could see she wanted and
needed to cry.
I tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye
to someone knowing it would be forever?" "Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking but why is
this a forever good-bye?"
"I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is the next trip back will
be for my funeral," she said.
When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, "I wish you enough." May I ask what that
means?"
She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents
used to say it to everyone." She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail
and she smiled even more.
"When we said 'I wish you enough' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just
enough good things to sustain them". Then turning toward me, she shared the following, reciting it
from memory,
"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye."
She then began to cry and walked away.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person. An hour to appreciate them. A day to love them.
And an entire life to forget them.
Please Share this with your friends. It has the potential to inspire a lot of people.
Be Blessed Of Divine Light.

PRAYER FOR A HAPPY DEATH
O Glorious St. Joseph, behold I choose thee today for my
special patron in life and at the hour of my death. Preserve
and increase in me the spirit of prayer and fervor in the
service of God.
Remove far from me every kind of sin; obtain for me that
my death may not come upon me unawares, but that I
may have time to confess my sins sacramentally and to
bewail them with a most perfect understanding and a
most sincere and perfect contrition, in order that I may
breathe forth my soul into the hands of Jesus and Mary.
Amen

We are gathered here today, Lord God as your people to offer you
our sacrifice of prayer and worship. We come from different walks of
life; some are well educated, others not; some have walked with
you for many years, others are just starting their journey; some are
strong, others weak; some are full of joy, others burdened by care.
You love each of us in equal measure. You pour your blessings on
us in equal measure.
Lord God, in this short time together, open our ears and our eyes
to see your vision for this place and our part within it. Teach us,
hear our prayers and enable us for service wherever you might take
us, to your praise and glory. Amen.

We meet as family in the presence of our heavenly Father. We meet
as brothers and sisters in Christ, accepting the responsibility this
places upon us - to love one another as you have loved us. We
meet as your lights in this dark world, and pray that through our
words and our lives others might be drawn into your family, and
accept you as their Saviour and Lord. Amen

"Light a Candle of Hope" for Typhoon Yolanda victims on November 8

We gather this morning for "Light a Candle of Hope" for
Typhoon Yolanda victims, survivors and heroes last November
8

the fury of the deadly Typhoon Yolanda left thousands of
families in the Visayas homeless.

"We will raise our lights to heaven by holding it as we join in
singing HEAL OUR LAND as a symbol of hope and
inspiration,".

The light of hope from a little candle burning brightly will send
healing energy to those affected by Typhoon Yolanda.

"There's somebody out there who needs our prayers. Typhoon
Yolanda has brought the communities in the visayas together,"

The event will feature music, songs and prayers from Sto. Nino
Seminary Choir and Department of Education-Aklan Choir and
local singers, the lighting of a hope candle, slideshow and
videos of Typhoon Yolanda devastation.

To show support for all the families and friends of the victims.

"By lighting a candle through the night starting at 6 p.m. on
November 21 in your homes, it is also a sign of hope for the
future safety of Aklanons," he stressed.

YES, I survived Super Typhoon Yolanda. I understand I cannot take it as a badge of honor and that
being one in no way gives me any bragging rights in the fashion of a Mt. Everest climber. Neither can I
speak for all survivors because what I went through may not even be half their experiences. Still,
surviving a super typhoon is not quite like surviving traffic at EDSA. I realize this as I write now, when it is
nearly two weeks after Yolanda came and wreaked untold havoc, together with an immense toll of human
suffering, not mainly Eastern but also Central and Western Visayans as well. Although the media have
focused on Tacloban City and Leyte for good reasons, several places in my province of Eastern Samar
had been hard hit as well, particularly the towns of Balangkayan, Hernani, Guiuan, Balangiga and many
others.
Surprisingly, it is not only minuses that I see. I have also rediscovered some invaluable things about life,
which, for want of a better term, I call insights.
Faith our only possession after Yolanda
Faith our possession after yolanda
It clothed us with the assurance of a promise -soon to be fulfilled. It kept us
warm on cold and dark nights and even fed us when we needed to eat. It even
gave us the needed strength to hold on and endure the days-worth of travel by
foot, hitching rides; a ray of sunshine when we almost felt like giving all hope
yes FAITH has made all these possible for us
And to think today marks exactly a month and 6 days since thenGod has been so
gracious to all of us. I have always believed that everything happens for a reason;
good or bad (Ecclesiastes 3:1-22). That all is a part of a grand design that we shall soon
see at the end of every chapter in our lives and understand. We all just need to close
our eyes from what brings us pain, shut us from the noise of all the complaints and
bickering; and open our hearts and senses to Your voice and trust in You and Your
WORD.
It just shows how Gods Mercy and Grace could actually start out very small and that
its up to you to embrace it and grow it too. Well I must admit that am not a business
expert or a tycoon I actually just consider myself as a mere steward of this blessing.

A THANKFUL HEART LEARN TO APPRECIATEA Thankful Heart-
Learn to appreciate
First thing we ever said was Thank you for sparing us and keeping us all alive to start
anew. Ive always believed that one has to learn how to appreciate all things great
and smalllearn to see the good in everything and everyone, before you can truly
enjoy the greater blessings in life and I will always be grateful for everything and
everyone around me especially those whom I have mentioned in my last blog Halfway
Down the Road After Haiyan/Yolanda A Survivors Heart Exposed. Coming from a
disaster, need not necessarily mean youll stay as victims for lifeyes, we still need
help (inside and out we ALL do)but we make sure to help ourselves too (and
others) in the process. We SURVIVED God helps those who helps themselves.

PRAYER the simplest, yet commonly forgotten power that

Prayer the simplest, yet commonly forgotten power that we were all equipped.
A simple prayer was all that kept us from being washed awayfrom keeping us safe
and sound and literally kept us sane enough to be able to think on our toes and kept
the kids from being traumatized. We were all singing praise and worship songs and
playing a game out of the circumstance WHILE all 4 of us were clinging to a
window grill(more on the details of our experience soon on this). Many seem to forget or
only remember to pray during highs and lows but not much in between. Henry and I
belonged to different religion but agreed that prayer is just like talking to the person
you love.
When youre in a relationship and feel strongly about it, dont you always want to be
with that person? Just seeing him/her completes your day? Or perhaps just simply
talking to him/her day to day? Thats how we treated praying. Funny as it might seem,
we even end up praying and telling Him things especially if we have an argument.
Before you know it, answers seem to flow throughyou see things clearly. Our kids
Darleen and Heather have adapted this tooso it was nothing sort of new to us. It
also helped us back then to keep us from getting hysterical. We could say that He has
calmed our minds and assured us. It even felt like He was physically there; embracing
us all and holding on too and telling us that there is nothing to fearjust hold on tight
this too shall pass.
So with that, Id like to share with you this prayer; everyone who are trying to start
anew; regardless whether youve been affected by the typhoon or any natural disasters
or simply struggling with your personal issues.
Heavenly Father, we once more gather and call upon Your name. We thank You for
everything You have given us. LIFE, HOPE and even CHALLENGES. We feel so
blessed with everything You have showered upon us all. We kneel before You to
humbly ask for Your forgiveness, especially at times when we seem to have forgotten
You. We have been blinded by all the things we thought important and more precious
than You. Even at times we fail to understand the challenges and even thought
wrongly to be punishment. Remove the blindfolds of deception and help us see things
through Your eyes.Forgive us; and as we all start anew, GUIDE us once more. We
can clearly see now that You have always been there for us and will always will as
You have promised guiding us with Your light.
Lord, we are not worthy of these gifts and yet you never cease to pour out Your LOVE
and UNDERSTANDING. You are the very reason we are ALL still here today and we
feel that it is but one of the many ways we could glorify You. Bless our little
businesses and remind us that these should not steer away our attention towards You.
Also bless those You have used as a vessel to make all these happen. May you bless
these bits of blessings which You have chosen to shower us with and allow us not only
to GROW it but to INSPIRE others with it. To continue to HOPE, LIVE LIFE and
SHARE ourselves to others, just as You have done for all of us.
We are not VICTIMS, instead we ALL claim to be VICTORS and SURVIVORS in Your Sons
name, Jesus -

It is my pleasure to recommend Florence Davis for the position of staff nurse on the neurology floor at Samaritans
Medical Center. Although I will miss Florences skill, expertise and professionalism in my practice, I look forward to
working with her at the hospital should you award her this position. As chief of neurology at Samaritans, I know that
Florence is the kind of nurse that will serve the community well when patients seek treatments for neurological
issues.

Florence joined my practice right out of nursing school. She graduated from the XYZ University School of Nursing six
years ago. Prior to nursing school she obtained her Bachelors degree in biological studies from XYZ Uni versity. Her
nursing degree includes a special concentration in neurology. Patients who suffer from injuries or congenital issues
resulting in neurological disorders require a special level of treatment and Florence understands their needs and is
able to respond to each patients unique situation.

Florence has been a tremendous asset to my practice. She routinely gives new patients their initial neurological
exams making detailed and excellent notes in their electronic medical record files. She has developed exceptional
abilities in recognizing minute signs during patient exams that point to emerging neurological problems. Florence is a
gifted nurse who will be difficult to replace in my private practice.

I hope that you will seriously consider Florence Davis for the available position of nurse on the neurology floor. I can
attest to the fact that she is exactly the kind of skilled, talented and dedicated nurse we need in the neurology
department at Samaritans. Should you wish to speak with me at length about Florences qualifications, please feel
free to contact me on my cell phone at 555-555-5555 or via email at email@email.com.
