Position title
Mobile Phone Test Engineer

Description:
Mobile Phone Test Engineer is responsible to implement performance test, field test and key
functional tests for cutting-edge smartphones, to assure the product is ready for commercial
launch in Southeast Asia. Responsibilities include preparation for hardware and software test
planning, supporting customer acceptance, writing test reports, troubleshooting, and driving
error resolution with development team. Test Engineers will follow the test cases to ensure the
product is compliant to various standards for both carrier requirements and internal
specifications.

About 50% of tests happened in field or in car, the rest in lab. It may involve 20% time or more
international travel.

Desired experience and qualifications
1+ years of mobile phone/device software and hardware testing experience
Understanding of the software development life-cycle or relevant experience in real-time
software or mobile software testing.
Able to test in field and in driving test environment for 50% of working time.
Willing to travel around 20% time, domestically and internationally
Extensive knowledge of mobile phone functions and mobile network technology like
GSM and CDMA.
Good English reading and writing, able to speak English to international teams
Proficiency in using test management, tracking and reporting tools/systems
Good teamwork skills

Would be a plus if:
Previous experience in mobile field testing, operator acceptance testing, navigation
testing, as well as related testing methodologies
Previous experience of collecting traces or log files from mobile handsets
Familiar with concepts like call processing, location area update, handoff etc.
Practical knowledge of wireless technology such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA,
CDMA2001X, EVDO, LTE





POSITION 2

Position title
Senior Mobile Phone Test Lead

Description:
Responsible to provide technical and managerial leadership in performance test, field test and
key functional tests for world leading cutting-edge smartphone, to assure the product is ready
for commercial launch in Southeast Asia. Team responsibilities include preparation for hardware
and software test planning, supporting customer acceptance, writing test reports,
troubleshooting, and driving error resolution with development team. Test team will follow the
test cases to ensure the product is compliant to various standards for both carrier requirements
and internal specifications.

On this position, about 25% of work scope happens in field or in car, the rest in lab. And it may
involve 25% time or more international travel.

Desired experience and qualifications

4+ years of mobile phone/device software and hardware testing experience
2+ years experience leading a small team
Understanding of the software development life-cycle or relevant experience in real-time
software or mobile software testing.
Extensive knowledge of mobile phone functions and mobile network technology like
GSM and CDMA.
Excellent English reading and writing, very good in spoken English
Practical knowledge of wireless technology such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA,
CDMA2001X, EVDO, LTE
Proficiency in using test management, tracking and reporting tools/systems
Excellent teamwork skills
